Dan's POV
We can't be together. We can't be together. We can't be together. But it's arrived. The weekend is here and hopefully tonight so will Phil. Here I go. Asking someone I barely know to spend the night with me.

Dan: Hey Phil!

Phil: Hey Dan, what's up?
Dan: I was wondering if you could spent the night at my house.
Phil: That would be great! See you later!

Dan: See ya!

Phil's POV
I don't know what's better. The fact that it's the weekend or I'm spending the night at the house of the one person I've ever really loved. Telling him would ruin our friendship if he doesn't like me back. Mentioning this to him is off the table.

I've never been to Dan's house before, but apparently he lives close by.
I grab an old backpack that I'm not using, and put my things in it. I pack some clothes, a toothbrush, my phone charger, and I can't forget my little stuffed lion. I'm completely packed.
Dan said he would come pick me up. He should be here in a minute. I grab a bag of chocolate covered pretzels and a bottle of water. My mom turned the corner and began to speak. "Phil, can I talk to you for a second?" She didn't wait for my response before beginning once more. "After what happened with Edward in middl-"
"Mom. We agreed that you wouldn't speak his name again. Like I said. I won't screw it up like last time ok?" She nods in agreement before leaving me alone again.
Dan opens the door, inviting himself in. "Bye mum! I'm going to Dan's house to stay the night!" I tell my mum before leaving. "Are you ready?" Dan asked excitedly. "Sure am!" I turn around to show him my backpack, and then follow him to his house.
    "Excited?" He asks.
    "Nervous, but mostly excited."
    "What are you nervous about?"
Uh oh. Time to pull a lie out of my ass before he suspects something.
"I'd say I'm mostly nervous about the fact that your parents might be homophobes."
    Dan blushes, but why?
"Uhm, Phil I'm pretty sure we're not dating, nothing to worry about homophobia-wise."
     "Right, right."
Nice one Phil, real nice.
