He took a deep breath for the seventh time in a minute and stared at his pale reflection in the full length mirror. The murmuring outside added to his nerves; the clock ticking on the wall added to his nerves...even the presence of his nerves added to his nerves.

"Stop it! Relax, you can do this Adrian." He scolded himself then shook his head. "I can't do this."

Lines of sweat made their way down his forehead and he could even feel some racing down his back. His hands were shaky as he tried to wipe his face which, to no surprise, added to his nerves.

"Adrian are you−honey...what's wrong why aren't you ready?"

"I can't do this Satyr I thought I could but I can't!" He sighed and walked towards the witch.

"Adrian, of course you can." She kissed his head and held him in her arms. "It's ok to be nervous sweetheart but you cannot change your mind. Now tell me...what's wrong? And why now? You've been excited for this day for months."

"I−I'm afraid." He exhaled and sat down on the sofa and held his head in his hands. "I can't let her down again."

"You won't...and you never did before."

"Every time we get close to each other again something tears us apart. If we do this today and something happens...she'll be heartbroken...more so than ever before."

"Adrian." Satyr smiled and stooped down next to him. She loved Adrian and cared about him as if he were a son to her. In fact, Adrian reminded her of the son she once had; Calvin. The two had been best friends until Calvin sacrificed his life for Adrian's. She raised his face to look at her and wiped his eyes which were now red and wet. "If you think this way you two will never move forward in your relationship. Cate loves you so much and she wants to spend the rest of her life with you. How does that make you feel?"

"Satyr−

"How does it make you feel?"

"It−it feels great."

"Why does it feel great?"

"It feels great because I love Cate more than I ever loved anyone and the fact that she loves me and wants me too...it's the best feeling in the world."

"It is...now how about you relax and stop thinking about the negatives?" She smiled and rubbed his face.

"Ok." When he returned her smile she knew that her advice worked.

"Great, now let's get you dressed." She kissed his face and picked up the black jacket excitedly. "Your bride is waiting."

Jennifer's P.O.V

"Jennifer! Look at this." He opened the paper to the page I knew he read over and over and watched as I read it.

"Thirty four year old therapist Kayla Denver has been mysteriously murdered in the underground car park of the five star restaurant La Rue on Saturday night. Reports state that Dr. Denver was found lifeless at around 11pm and...there was no blood in her body." I closed my eyes and exhaled.

"This is the ninth dead body found this month so far that shares the same cause of death." Del took the paper and crumpled it in frustration.

"The authorities said that it's a serial killer Del." I grabbed a glass of champagne and swallowed every drop in one gulp.

"Serial killer my ass Jennifer! Serial killers have a pattern. Some of them do weird shit. For example, some serial killers murder blonds only, some murder five year old little boys but what do we have thus far? Two of the victims were teenage girls, another one was a middle aged man, then there was that cougar who was killed in broad daylight and after that four more people, two of whom were sisters who I think just got unlucky. What is the pattern here?"
