"Look at you. You are so cute! I think I'm gonna call you...Skipper." Her hands slid along the body of the bottlenose dolphin as the stood waist deep in the crystal clear waters of the Matira beach on the island of Bora Bora. The dolphin lifted water with its nose and splashed it all over her body and she laughed and kissed it. "I think you're right. Skipper sounds like a penguin. I'll call you...Thomas." Thomas whistled and she smiled and swam with him near the shore.

As Thomas made circles around her and jumped over her head she stopped to gaze at the glistening reflection of her wedding ring in the water. Each time she looked at it, it seemed to grow more and more impressive.

Like her engagement ring, her wedding ring was embedded with sapphire. Adrian, being as extra as he was, made her ring of pure platinum. Around the band were tiny sapphires and in the middle was a large diamond but it was no ordinary one. Throughout the rich crystalline body of the diamond were streaks of sapphire which caused the ring to reflect a unique look of two of the world's most precious gems. By placing the ring on her finger, Cate knew that Adrian boosted the worth of her hand from zero to approximately a million dollars.

Today made it the twelfth day of their amazing honeymoon which was originally a seven day vacation. However, neither of them was ready to leave what was known as the most romantic island on earth.

"I wish I could take you back home with me but I'm afraid my husband would think it's a bad idea. Or would he? What is taking him so long anyway?"

She had left Adrian in the woods to hunt around thirty minutes ago which meant that he should have been back by now. As her mind wandered off to think of what he could be doing she sensed someone behind her standing on the shore.

"Adrian what took you so−

Who she thought was her husband was in fact someone else. Someone she didn't recognize.

The man standing in front of her could have been over six feet tall. His shoulders were broad and he was quite muscular.

She began so make her way out of the water after realizing that the dolphin had frantically swam away.

"Hello...are you here on vacation too?" She stood at the water's edge and looked at the man who didn't respond. Instead he cocked his head to the left and stared at her without blinking. "A−are you lost? Do you...need help?"

His stare intensified and she swallowed hard and slowly.

"Ok um...I'm just gonna...get my stuff and−

"Cate Henderson." The man said her name not asked.

"What do you want? Who are you?" Her voice began to shake as she tried to walk past him. But as she tried to get by he grabbed her arm and pulled her body towards his. "Let me go! What the hell are you doing?" She screamed and fought in his arms but his grip didn't budge.

"Cate Henderson-Reynard." The man spoke into her ear and tightened his grip.

"How do you know that? Let me go! Adrian! Adrian! Help!"

"Close your eyes. It will be slow." As the man spoke she noticed that his voice was almost robotic.

"Adrian!"

As the man's grip tightened she tried to phase into wolf form but it was extremely difficult. Nothing she did helped in any way.

"Please, please don't do this. I'll give you whatever you want...please..."

"No one will survive." His arms pulled together and she felt her bones cracking.

With a long exhale her eyes closed but before she completely gave up a loud howl echoed throughout the beach and she opened her eyes to see the dark brown gigantic wolf racing their way.

"Finally." She smiled and slammed her head backwards with all of her strength causing the man to drop her.

"Cate run!" Adrian shouted in her head as he approached the man whose attention was all on him now.

"No! I can't leave you let me help!"

"Get the hell away from here Cate!"

With a worried frown she began running the other way while looking back as Adrian leaped towards the man who slammed him into a tree.

He didn't seem scared or shocked to see a wolf at all.

As Adrian slammed into the tree she heard him whimper but in seconds he got on all fours again and charged into the man, knocking him to the ground.

When he bit into the man's throat Cate exhaled in relief but a gasp soon followed when he stood up and grabbed onto Adrian's furry body and twisted it causing him to yelp even louder. She knew that would cause damage to her husband but even that didn't keep him. In a flash, filled with anger and rage he shot up and wasting no time at all, ripped the head off of the dangerous stranger.

Just as he was about to return to his human form and find his wife the sound of moving sand caught his attention. Turning his head back to the decapitated man Adrian was left motionless as the man's head was being dragged back to its body like steel to a magnet.

"Fuck it!"

Adrian knew, for some reason which he wasn't sure of, that killing this man would have been impossible. Therefore instead of staying to fight he turned around and began running towards Cate.

"Catey, get on that boat, start the engine and take off!" He shouted at her in her mind as he spotted a small speed boat near the shore.

"Not without you! Come on get here!"

He looked behind him and saw that the man was catching up to him. "I'll be fine Catey just go! Trust me! Get out of here! Get to the port as fast as you can! Get to safety!"

"Adrian I can't leave you here you'll die!"

"Damn it Cate just fucking trust me and go right now!"

"Adrian..."

"Get out of here Cate!" He yelled so loudly that it hurt her head.

With tears soaking her face she ran into the water and jumped into the boat, starting the engine immediately but she didn't take off. Her body trembled from sobs as she turned around and watched as the man caught up to Adrian, took a hold of his body and squeezed every bit of life out of him.

As the lifeless wolf fell onto the sand her sobs grew louder and she choked on them while speeding off towards the horizon.
