Annabeth's POV

Percy..Percy..Percy
That's all that runs through my head as I lay on my bed that afternoon. Why does he cross my mind so much lately? I shut my eyes tight trying to get him out of my head but all I saw were his sea green eyes. Why can't I get him out of my head?
Wait,Annabeth had really hundreds of books in his life. She'd read many romance novels and now that she thought of it this was exactly what those girls in those novels did when they were in love - lie on their bed and think of that special someone. Could it be that she was starting to have feelings for Percy?
Her phone started ringing. She thought it was Percy,ringing to ask about that stupid party again, but she was surprised when she picked up her phone and saw that it was Lola - her best friend.
"Hello?" said Annabeth as she picked up her phone.
"Hey!" Lola replied.
"What's up?" Annabeth questioned.
"Oh,I was just calling to ask are you coming to Percy's party?"
"Of course I'm not Lola,you of all people,know that I don't do parties."
"Well its not everyday that Percy Jackson has a party,now is it?"
"And that makes a difference because.." Annabeth said sounding confused.
"Oh honey,please. Don't go telling me you don't have a crush on that boy?" Lola retorted.
"What?!" she gasped,feeling her cheeks turn slightly pink.
"I see the way you look at him"
"Yes,I look at him with my eyes,the same way I do with everyone else!" Annabeth argued back in response.
"You look at him like he's the only person in the room"
There it was. She was turning into one of those girls from a romance novel.
"I'll be over in five!" Lola added.
"Wait,what?"
No answer. She had hung up.
