I groaned and grabbed my phone from the night stand. Then, I opened one eye and swipe my thumb over the screen to answer the call.
"Suku, where are you?" A familiar scream made me jolt awake but before I could opened my mouth to answer, she continued, "I'm trying to reach you from yesterday. Why your phone was non-reachable. This is so irresponsible of you. I had already ask you to call me everyday but you forgot your mother on first day only. Now why are you so quiet? Do you-"
"Mummy," I interrupted her. "Will you calm down, please?"
"How can I-"
"Let me Explain?" I groaned and sat on the bed.
What a nice way to start the day!
My eyes quickly scanned the room and I let out a sigh of relief, finding it empty. I couldn't have explained anything to my mother infront of Raj.
"Suku?" The concerned in my mother voice started making me guilty.
"Yeah, I was actually sleeping and mummy I didn't forget you. My phone went off as I forgot to bring the charger. I just borrowed one from the reception." I quickly made up a lie.
"But, your phone wasn't off. It was-"
"Yeah mummy. I know. Sometimes, it happens. Forget that, tell me how are you? I'm missing you so much."
"Aw, I'm missing you too suku... House is seems so empty without you," my mother replied in a sad voice and my stomach churned in a tight knot realising, I was just trying to make her emotional so she could forget everything.
"Yeah..." I gulped down and walked towards the balcony. "It's so beautiful here. You should come here." I tried to cheer her up.
"Ofcourse. Who will take me there?" She scoffed.
"Ah, that's why I came here mummy. I'll learn everything about this place then bring you here."
"Don't try to butter me up, suku. You know very well it's not possible. I still can't believe that you're in another country. If it's upto me..."
"Mummy," I cut her in as I knew what she was going to say. "I'm here now so please let me enjoy?" I rolled my eyes and looked around when my gaze stopped on a particular person who was playing volley ball.
My lips curved in a crooked smile, thinking about the first activity of my vacation.
"Yeah," She sighed and added, "Just don't enjoy too much."
"Ofcourse, now bye. I'm going to feed this evil stomach," I chuckled as my stomach growled in response and hung up the phone.
I jumped in joy and went towards the bathroom to freshened up. After changing into a denim shorts and black tank top, I securely locked the room and went outside, humming an Indian song.
As soon as I stepped outside, the hot rays of sun hit my face and I quickly covered my eyes from the sun glasses.
When I reached towards the beach, I noticed large waves crashing against the shore and wind was blowing lightly. The sand on the beach was brown but dazzling sunlight was making it sparkled like a thousand tiny jewels.
A warm breeze swirl around me, sending my hair in all different direction. I groaned and moved my fingers through my hair to fix them.
Then I turned and walked towards the group of people who were laughing and playing volley ball. I narrowed my eyes when I realized their outfits. All boys were shirtless and girls were wearing bikni only. I stopped my feet in a childish manner upon my decision of not wearing a biking underneath my clothes.
"Any problem?"
I snapped my head towards the source of voice and saw raj who was coming towards me with a grin on his face. My eyes travelled downwards and gawking wouldn't quite describe my state. I was shocked, stunned, flabbergasted, amazed, wonderstruck, mesmerized by his physique. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. His body was drool-worthy. He had a chiseled chest and the skin on it was glowing healthily. His abdominals were sculptured to perfection as his six-packs pop, instantly giving off the impression that he came out of a Calvin Klein shoot.
I've never seen a shirtless Indian man with such a droolworthy body.
I swallowed hard. It's going to very hard to spend every single night with him in the same room, realising what's inside the packet.
He ran his fingers in his messy wet hair and stopped infront of me with a questioning look on his face, probably waiting for my response.
"Um no... I came here but..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say and bit my lips.
He raised his eyebrows. "Do you need something?"
"I was looking for someone," I blurted out the first thing came to my mind and took out a breath of relief when he nodded at me.
"Need help?"
I shook my head. "No. I'll look at other side of beach. Bye."
Turning around, I quickly started walking opposite direction so that I can investigate what was wrong with me but his voice stopped me.
"Hey, wait." He jogged towards me and asked, "I was going for sky diving. Would you like to join me?"
"I can't. My friend is waiting for me." I shrugged, coming back to my senses.
"Well, we are going to leave after 2 hours so you have plenty of time to decide," he smiled.
"I'll try."
"Alright. I'll wait for you outside our hotel."
"You're not coming back to the hotel?" I frowned and quickly added when he gave me questioning look. "I mean to change your clothes?"
He chuckled, "No. I carry my small backpack all the time so I'll change here only. But, if you want to spend some alone time with me..." He wiggled his eyebrows.
My mouth hung open and I narrowed my eyes. "You... Don't you dare to finish that sentence," I glared at him and stormed off immediately.
"I'll wait for you," he called out but I didn't reply him.
He could wait for his death or go to hell. There was no way I would hang out with a jerk!!
