While alone in his room; Douglas gets the best news of his life. Tomorrow is his birthday, and he's going to be old enough to drive. To celebrate he and his parents go car shopping. Seeing as he is an only child competition was nothing to worry about, but some would call him spoiled. Douglas did not behave as such, but he did get what he pretty much wanted. His parents found nice, new, and luxurious cars. Douglas on the other hand was old fashioned. He told them that he had found a beautiful 1950s corvette with a little work needed. It was cheaper so they got it, but while cleaning the chassis a rich candy red was exposing a rich candy red. He then goes for a drive, and hits a bump. Suddenly a strange noise in the back. While investigating he finds a box containing a crystal. Douglas then returns home, and looks up what He can on the crystal. His research comes up short, so frustrated he places it near his window. The following morning the crystal changes color, and later a figure is waiting for him in his room. It had the silhouette of a women. He asked who she was , and got "I am the only one who has the power of eternity, and whose to share it with you". Douglas was hysterical, and could not believe what he had heard. He gladly accepted the offer, and the figure walked up, and was revealed as a beautiful woman. She pulled out a knife, and cut her heart, and his. She then said "now you will have the power of eternity, and the pain. Before Douglas could grasp reality she vanished and said she would return when he was ready to finalize his whis.
