Shy Kisses

         Karkat was sitting on his couch next to Dave. They were playing a video game and unsurprisingly karkat was losing.

"Hey kitkat lose three more times and you owe me a kiss" Dave put three fingers on his lips and smirked.

Karkat made an an aggravated groan and continued to play. He was sick with striders stupid tricks. Karkat intently locked his eyes on the screen as he tried to beat Dave this one time.

He had failed the round and was on the verge of throwing his remote. Dave smirked and put two fingers to his mouth. Karkat glared at him trying to ignore the fact that his face was on fire.

The boys continued to play and karkat was on a losing streak. Dave moved the losing goal to four which made karkat more aggrivated. His smirk burned into karkat's soul and he didn't know how to react. He wanted to kiss Dave but he didn't want to kiss him because of his losing streak.

His number soon decreased to one and he looked back at Dave who put one finger on his lips. Karkat flipped Dave the bird and tried to calm his heartbeat.

"Come on kitkat I don't want to kiss you because you lost" Dave smirked.

Karkat looked away as flames engulfed his face.

Karkat turned his remote off and turned twoards Dave. He looked confused as karkat took his remote and set it next to his own. He moved closer to Dave striking the first move by resting his hand on Dave's cheek.

Dave caught onto what karkat was doing and pulled karkat closer. They looked eachother in the eyes not wanting the moment to end. Karkat moved Dave's glasses away ignoring his protests against taking them off. Karkat stared into his deep red eyes and his mouth curved into a small smile.

Dave's face was full of worry. He looked away as tears welled up in his eyes. He tried to move away but karkat stopped him. He moved Dave's face infront of his own and kissed his tears away. They stared at eachother for a bit taking in the others appearance. Dave stared at karkat's face. He noticed karkat's freckled dusted across his face. He brought his hand up to touche karkat's soft black hair he faintly smiled as he looked into his mahagony eyes.

Karkat smiled and brushed his hand across Dave's cheek. He looked into Dave's red eyes. He looked at Dave lush lips and continued to smile.

Dave's faint smile faded into a wide bright smile as he leaned into karkat's face. Their lips met and butterflies erupted in karkat's stomache. Dave parted their lips and smiled. Dave pecked karkat on the cheek and they continued they're  afternoon.

They cuddled the whole afternoon adding in bits of small talk. Otherwise is was shy kisses and sleeping.
