Unattainable Love
He doesn't spare me a second glance,
I try my hardest to catch his eye.
Even if I were to jump and sing,
He would keep on walking right past by.
My heart aches for his attention,
My mind knows it will never be.
For his own kind his heart does seek,
But never will it be for me.
His eyes are filled with mischief and love,
And his smile brings happiness and trust.
His laughter fills the air with warmth,
And his company is fun and just.
The way he moves carelessly around,
Always it manages to consume me.
The words he speaks and his voice out loud,
I feel comforted to be so free.
His one brain never fails to surprise me,
Oh, so swift and completely agile.
His thoughts and his mentality,
The exact opposite of hostile.
Love, an emotion I barely see,
So complex and ever so true.
Where your heart beats ever so faster,
And your eye colour changes it's hue.
I do not know how he can do it,
But somehow my heart belongs to him.
The crazy feelings he makes me feel,
A light that could never go dim.
Weeks go by and I still feel this way,
Never could it be proper and prim.
Because that's the way things are, but still,
I am infatuated by him.
