DEBUT

[A/N: Annyeonghaseyo! This is my first time to write a FF about hallyu. These past few months, I found myself immersed in K-Dramas which eventually led me to the world of K-POP. Since I'm really inspired, I decided to team up with my cousin to write this story entitled PRIME (stylized as PR1M3). Prologue

"Good evening, Korea!" The MC's voice boomed through the speakers surrounding the arena. "Tonight is one of the most spectacular nights in the music industry because we will witness comebacks and debuts! Anyway, I am Mark, your MC for tonight alongside with my best friend, Jackson. We're both from GOT7. Come and get it! Annyeonghaseyo, GOT7-imnida!"

"That's right, that's right, Mark-hyung. We hope you'll enjoy the night and give love to everyone who's here. Without further ado, let's get the dance floor burning up with BTS! A round of applause, please." Jackson said.

"Okay, girls! Gather up." The stage manager ordered the members of PR1M3. The girls immediately followed the order and gathered in the center of the dressing room.

"So, your performance tonight is your official debut as idols. Everyone in our entertainment hopes that each and everyone of you has kept our teachings in your mind. Use this and be mindful with your every move. You'll be on stage in less than..." the manager looked at his phone. "Five minutes. So, relax and enjoy. Break a leg!"

"Ye! Kamsamhamnida, manager-nim!" All the girls said in unison.

The manager left the room to talk with the other stage staff. The girls are still gathered in the center. The group's leader, Im Na Hyun, smiled brightly and ordered everyone to hold hands.

"Girls, we've waited for this moment to happen for the past six years, it's been a rollercoaster ride. We went through ups and downs and yet we are still here, standing strong as ever. As we hold hands, we will say individual prayers to the Lord, thanking him for guiding and blessing us since birth." She said, bowing her head to pray.

Each member followed her and prayed their own prayers too. Everyone was full of gratitude and love as they prayed. Two of the members had tears pooling in their eyes because since their trainee days, they thought they wouldn't be able to debut.

Right now, as they are huddled and praying together, all their prayers ended with the same wish: to deliver the performance well and make sure everyone's hard work pays off.

"Girls, gather up now. Head to the backstage immediately." The group's manager ordered and everyone hurried to the backstage as they wait for the MCs to introduce them.

"Okay, okay," the floor manager said. "PR1M3 on stage in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1."

The audience was quiet for a moment due to the darkness that enveloped the whole arena. Slowly, each side of the arena lightened up, revealing the girls who are now standing firmly on stage.

The music began to sound and everyone applauded.

"PRIME ON THE RISE!" The girls chanted in a sing-song way.

Each and every girl made an impact on the audience. This girl group has got to be the most diverse group in K-POP today as they came from different backgrounds. Thirteen girls from all around Asia. People were amazed by how diverse they were - from looks, voices, down to their moves. They were beautiful in their own way but they were spectacular as one.

They performed their debut song, Ice Drop, a teeny-bopper pop song that goes well with the summer season. Even the MCs were at awe because this girl group has broke down the standards and lit up the arena with their presence.

The girls posed and smiled as their performance ended. Everyone cheered for PR1M3. The arena once again was enveloped in total darkness, leaving everyone murmuring about the performance of PR1M3. Shortly after that beautiful production number, PR1M3 made headlines in social networking sites, making them a trending topic all around the world.

A debut full of passion and excitement, it surely made the viewers and K-POP fans happy. PR1M3 is surely the girl group to watch for.

"Alright! We are here backstage for the K-POP Lounge segment." Mark announced, which made the selected fans roar in happiness.

Jackson nodded and read the cue card. "Our buddies from B1A4, K.A.R.D, and Blaze Entertainment's debut group, PR1M3 are here to chat with us and talk about their latest ventures."

"Let's start off with B1A4," Mark said. "Jinyoung-ah, tell us about your newest album."

"Ye, each member wrote a song for our album, [IN THE ZONE]. So far, this was the hardest part of our career, we had to totally step out of our comfort zones and improve our skills. Yeah, that's it."

"Wow, that's really good to hear. Congratulations!" Jackson said, shaking the hands of each member of B1A4.

"Let's move on to K.A.R.D that blew us away tonight with their latest single, Don't Recall. What inspired the song?" Mark asked.

J.Seph gamely answered the question. "It's about a toxic relationship where the guy wants to get back together with the girl but the girl doesn't want to. She feels like there's no point in getting back together because all they do is tear each other apart."

"Wow, wow." Jackson slowly applauded. "What a dramatic scheme. I haven't been through that phase but the song was really good. It's stuck in my head."

"Same here, Jackson." Mark butted in.

All of the members of K.A.R.D just bowed their heads showing their gratitude for the compliments.

"Anyway, Jackson, let's move to the group who lit up the arena with their debut song, Ice Drop. Did you enjoy it?" Mark read the card.

Jackson lightly chuckled. "Yeah, I did. As you all know, it's summer and it's very hot. But with PR1M3's Ice Drop, I bet we'll be refreshed and relaxed."

"That's true. So, let's ask the group's maknae, Jung In Na. How was your first ever performance?" Mark stood beside the maknae of PR1M3.

In Na was a bit flustered since she didn't expect to be questioned. She took a deep breath before answering her sunbae's question.

"Ah, it was nerve-wrecking but enjoyable. Today is actually my eighteenth birthday so I gotta say this is the best birthday ever." In Na answered eloquently.

"Ah, jinjja?" Jackson reacted. "Come on, everyone, let's sing "Happy Birthday" for the cute maknae."

"Saengil chukkhae-hamnida! Saengil chukkhae-hamnida! Saranghae neun, In Na-ssi, saengil chukkhae-hamnida!" Everyone who were backstage sang for In Na.

The maknae was absolutely happy that there were tears of joy streaming down her cheeks. She giggled and said thanks to everyone.

"That was it for our little chit-chat with the idols who made our night. Let's see more performances after this short break." Mark faced the camera and smiled.
