HELLO EVERYONE!

Yes.

This update has been long overdue. Very long overdue. But HERE IS THE NEXT INSTALLMENT of Affairs of the Heart and Mind!

I do apologize for not having updated in so long. Life has just been a bit tougher lately. So if the next update doesn't come for a couple months again, don't worry, I will come back. I really love writing, and I will finish this story - at some point. XP

Life can just be sort of a b*tch sometimes.

BUT, I am going to keep trying to update more regularly, especially since this isn't a short story.

hehe

No.

Definitely not short.

And I've definitely not had enough fun messing with y'all and my cliffhangers.

But here is a chapter that doesn't have one. My gift to you all!

Their hearts were thudding in their chests.

They both pulled back ever so slightly, their noses grazing one another.

Marinette bit her lower lip, and then licked it, her mouth had gone completely dry of nerves.

Chat could have growled at the sight, but controlled himself.

This wasn't their first kiss, of course, but it was their first kiss after confessing their love. It meant much more than something in the heat of a moment. This was something they both would look back on, remember, tell their friends about, tell their kids about...

Wait.

KIDS?!

They were waaaaaay ahead of themselves.

Focus on right now, being with him, not how much your heart is racing or how hot he looks... Marinette thought to herself.

Focus, Adrien! Who cares if you feel like your heart is going to explode in your chest, this girl wants to kiss you! Adrien thought.

They both were nervous and flustered and insanely in love, and it was up to one of them to make the first move. Each was waiting for the other to finally just inch a tad closer.

Their pulses quickened.

Marinette had lidded eyes, her hands wrapped around his neck and cupping it.

Was she going to kiss him again? Should she? What was the right course of action in a situation like this?

She began to feel anxious, unsure and doubtful when Chat finally took the step for the both of them.

He held tighter around her petite waist and kissed her lips tenderly. He closed his eyes and let the fireworks shoot up his spine, holding her steady as she gave into his touch.

They were each other's support and comfort, yet their kryptonite, especially in this singular moment.

Adrien kissed her fully and completely, being sweeter and shyer than the last time. He wanted to truly express everything he felt for her in this first kiss.
