I thought I might give a little prequel to the story. I found myself unable to stop writing, which is why this update came so quickly!
So, this is a bit of a prequel to how they got to know each other more. MORE PLOT! :) And it is pretty long too...
Enjoy and comment below! :)
"I can't do anything right, Tiki!"
Marinette was sitting at her desk, staring at her computer background which was a collage of photos of the ever fabulous, completely gorgeous, sweet, endearing, model Adrien Agreste. The boy of her dreams, who she had met just some two months ago and had become infatuated with.
"I can't do anything but stutter around him! I look like a fool! And I can barely muster up enough confidence to talk to him! This is hopeless!"
Tiki floated up next to Mari and nested herself on her shoulder.
"It will be alright, remember, he is just a boy, a person like you."
Marinette was almost appalled at the statement, but did not want to bother her trusted kwami with more babbling about the dreamy eyed god.
He was not just a person, he was an amazing person. He was kind, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous. She had misjudged him, he was so considerate, and no-where near as rude as she had thought. She thought him to be one of Chloe's henchmen, but she couldn't have been more wrong. Although they were "friends," he and Chloe were not as close as Chloe said they were. They had known each other since they were kids, which is the only reason he was friends with her.
She sighed as she looked at the medley of photos of him in varying poses that danced across her screen. It was easy to find photos of him, he was a very famous model after all, and using her acute design skills, she created a beautiful collage of him.
Marinette sighed, lovestruck.
She replayed their past interactions. Each one in which she had royally messed up, but he still spoke to her on occasion.
She lost herself further and further into her daydream until she heard a tap at her window.
Tiki flew to her hiding spot, and Marinette shot up in surprise to see her crime-fighting partner at her windowsill. What was he doing here? They had met (Marinette and him) once before, recently in fact, when her classmate Nathaniel had been akumatized, but she hadn't spoken to him out of uniform since.
"Chat Noir," she said as she opened the window to let him in, "what are you doing here?"
"Can't a knight visit his princess?" he said with a grin, climbing in and taking her hand to bestow a kiss on it.
She didn't move her hand. Tired maybe?
"Yes," she said with a questioning tone, "but is there something wrong? I usually don't have a superhero dropping into my room unexpectedly." A lie, but he didn't know that, she laughed internally at the thought.
"No," he swivelled to look at her, his voice strangely lacking his flirtatiousness, "I just thought I might check up on you!" An obvious excuse. He held his arms at his back, and twisted his foot worriedly as his eyes darted around the room.
Marinette could see that he was distressed. Her concern for him grew.
"Are you alright, kitty?"
They were both startled at her use of the word "kitty." Even as Ladybug she had never called him that. It must have been his demeanor or something about the situation that brought on this new nickname.
