Chapter five

                        Nicks POV
I-I have to sing? What even am I going to sing? How am I going to do this?!

"I-I can't do th-this..." I said softly looking at the ground,Ashlie put her hands on my shoulder "you don't have to do this...do what ever you can do,I believe in you" Ashlie said "follow your heart,and nothing els~" she added singing a soft melody,putting her hand on my check "you can do this" she added,I nodded my head,I walked up to the stage and took a deep breath,I walked up on stage,my legs shaking with every step,I went up to the band and told them what song I was going to sing,I grabbed the mick and the room went quiet,I'm doing this for Ashlie,not for the dance or Mr. Novak,for her.

                   Ashlie's POV
Nick put his hands around the mick and closed his eyes "hey girl, you make me want to write a song
Sit you down,I'll sing it to you all night long
I've had a melody in my head since she walked in here and knocked me dead
Yeah girl,you make me wanna write a song

And it goes like ooh,what I wouldn't do to write my name on your heart,get you wrapped in my arms baby all around you and it goes like hey,girl I'm blown away,Yeah it starts with a smile and it ends with an all night long slow kiss
Yeah it goes like this~" nick sang a soft melody,people slow danced to the song as I sat and watch him,soon he finished the song and every one clapped,nick sighed in relief and steeped of stage "was I good?" Nick stuttered catching his breath "good? You were great!!!" I yelled rapping my arms around him "heh,thanks,god! my throat hurts!" He said hugging me back,Mr, Novak and Mr. Winchester came running to us "nick your amazing!" Novak yelled "oh-thanks" nick said scratching his head "awesome kid" Winchester said winking "well,we should go check and see if every things ok,maybe later you can sing another song,see ya kids!" Novak said grabbing Winchesters hand and dragging him off,me and nick walked off "let's get you a drink,you need it" I chuckled grabbing his hand "y-yeah" he stuttered,we walked over to the drink table and grabbed some waters,nick quickly drank his water "woah slow down" I laughed "but I'm so thirsty!" Nick wined "well you'll get hick ups and I don't want to listen to you wind!" I growled,nick laughed,tommy and cory came running to us "Nick you were amazing!" Cory yelled "yeah! I didn't know you could sing!" Tommy said "plan to sing anything els?" Tommy added "well yeah,a duet song actually" my eyes widened,I blushed "duet?" I asked my facing turning a deeper red "awww cute!well me and Cory are going to go,hope to see you two on stage!" Tommy said walking off "yeah,I wanted to know if you wanted to sing with me" nick said smiling "sure" I said grabbing a drink "sure? Is that it? Really?!" Nick growled "what? Did you expect something different?" I asked "well,I expected a blush,stutter,your cute shy face,something!" Nick said in a loud tone "yeah,I'm not as shy as you though" I said poking his nose,he blushed "sh-shut up!" Nick growled,I chuckled "c'mon,let's go" nick said grabbing my hand,we walked on to the stage nick let go of my hand and walked over to the drummer and whispered something in to his ear,the drummer nodded,so did the people on the guitar,we walked up to the micks and the room went quiet again,music started playing and I new exactly what song was playing,don't stop believing by the band Journey,I love that song,I knew every word "just a small town girl,livin' in a lonely world she took the midnight train Goin' anywhere~" nick sang "Just a city boy,Born and raised in south Detroit he took the midnight train Goin' anywhere~" I sang,nick blushed and smiled,we sang the hole song,every one danced and had a great time,nick seemed to be having fun singing,I just loved being there,we sang a few more songs,lot of classic rock mainly love songs,nicks favorite music,soon it got late and slowly people started going home,me and nick walked around about to head out when I saw Novak and winchester,Novak was passed out in Winchesters arms "hey Mr. Winchester,good night?" I whispered "great night,you kids head home safe" he whispered back,we walked Down to nicks house,we went in to the living room and sat on the couch "didn't know you can sing" nick chuckled "you dot know every thing about me" I grinned "yeah" nick yawned "tierd?" I asked,he leaned his head on my shoulder "nah I'm good,I- my throat hurts" nick yawned "mine to I'll get you a drink" I said getting up off the couch,I got two waters from the kitchen and came back,he was asleep snuggled up on the couch,I put the water next to him,and got a Blanket,I rapped it around him and kissed his head,I got on the ground and slept there,I didn't mind I thought it was cute to see him sleeping

Later I was woke by the sound of someone moving in the night,I opened one eye to see nick sitting up scratching his head,he looked a little sad,he got up and came over and knelt down,I pretended to be asleep "I can't sleep,knowing your here,at least not with out you" nick whispered,he laid next to me and fell asleep,I got up later not able to sleep "I'm cold...were are you...I..." Nick whispered,is he sleep talking? I kissed his head "I'm here" I whispered snuggling up to him,he smiled "never let go..." Tears pouring down his face "I won't,I promise" running my hand through his hair,he stopes crying,I fell asleep soon after,he's so cute snuggled up,I hope he's ok,it seemed like he's scared about something,I'll figure it out later,just let him rest,he's had a long day
