I woke up, yawning quietly, blinking rapidly as the sunlight flooded my room. Mom stood by the window, hands on the windowsill. She stared at me, eyes cold and angry. I frowned, cocking my head in confusion. I got out of bed, walking towards Mom slowly, cautiously taking each step. I reached out for her, hand getting slapped away in response.

"Dong Sicheng, you're late again!" Mom yelled at me furiously, her voice almost as loud as a lions roar. "You're going to get fired from work if you keep this up! Heck, you should quit! It'd be much less embarrassing for the family."

"Me being late to work once or twice doesn't embarrass our family," I scoffed in reply, walking past my mother bitterly. I opened the closet door, a selection of plain white-tees and blue-overalls my only choice of clothing. "Besides, we have enough money! I don't need to have a job, mom."

I stripped off my white shirt, rolling it into a ball before throwing it onto the floor. I could feel Mom watching me, her brown eyes mixed with concern and anger. I stood only in my boxers now, reaching for a new white shirt and a pair of overalls. My Mom liked for me to look as 'simple' as possible, while she dressed like a queen. Her words rang clearly in my ears every-time I looked into the closet.

'People will only look at me and not at you if you dress this way. We can't both look pretty, my dearest Sicheng.'

I sighed, pulling the white shirt over my head, slipping into the overalls with ease. I turned to see mother staring out the window, arms crossed, lips pursed. I coughed loudly, falsely, hoping to grab her attention. However, she continued to stare out the window, her son gone from mind.

"You're late again, Sicheng! Boss is gonna kill you!"

"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever."

I shrugged past Taeyong, running my fingers through my hair. I could feel him staring at me, perhaps with envy. No one could be as cool as me, that's surely understandable. Even in such plain attire, I was better than the commoners. Not that I felt that way, it just happened to be that way.

"Dong Sicheng! Into my office, now!"

The deep voice of my boss startled me, making me jump slightly. I hurried off to the direction of my bosses office, opening the smooth wooden door hurriedly. I sat down in a small chair, patiently waiting for my boss to enter his office.

The door opened slowly, and I dared not to look to the person opening the door. A short man with black hair sat at the desk in front of me, his cheeks sticking out slightly. His face was red with fury, his knuckles tapping against his desk rapidly. His name tag read "Min Yoongi".

"I was relying on you today, Sicheng," Yoongi groaned, leaning back in his chair with mock desperation. "We have a new worker and I needed you specifically to show her around... but alas, you weren't up to the task, it seems. Seems I'll have to get Johnny to show her around after all-"

"Him? No way!" I yelled, standing from the chair angrily. "Let me show her around! I know this place better than him, even if I am late all the time!"

"I don't know, I need to show her someone who's reliable, Sicheng. R-E-L-I-A-B-L-E." Yoongi looked at his nails boredly, smirking slightly.

"I can be reliable! I am reliable! Tell me, what's the girls name?" I asked, proud that I hadn't stuttered.

"Her name is Poppy."
