They had a plan ready. They had to get into the cafeteria to investigate, and they had the perfect way to do it.
Shaggy and Scooby walked up to the security guard. "Like, I think we found a clue to figure who pulled the prank! Right Scoob?" Shaggy lied.
"That's right Raggy!" Scooby agreed.
"Like, you should come see it officer!" Shaggy suggested.
"Sorry, I'm not to leave my post. And why would I trust some meddling teenager and his dog?" the officer replied coldly.
Shaggy looked offended. "But sir, it's really important that you see it!" Shaggy insisted.
"No, now get out of my sight before I call the headmistress on you, boy!" the guard barked.
Shaggy and Scooby walked away, defeated. Maybe it wasn't such a perfect plan.
But they didn't give up yet! Daphne tried next, running frantically down the hall, stopping in front of him, out of breath.
"Officer come quick, that thing is back!" Daphne screamed, "Its attacking the students!"
"Yes, ma'am!" the guard gave in, "Lead the way!"
Daphne led him right into a closet. And locked the door.
"We don't have much time," Daphne told the gang, "He still has a walkie talkie. Back up will be here shortly."
"Then we better make this quick," Fred nodded.
They scurried into the cafeteria. It took them a moment to take in the scene. The cafeteria was destroyed. Every inch was broken and tattered. There was glass from the shattered ceiling.
"What a mess!" Daphne commented.
"It will take months for them to fix this," Velma agreed.
"N-no food?" Scooby and Shaggy said together. They started bawling on the floor.
"Relax guys," Fred said, "I'm sure they have a backup plan!"
"Never mind food right now, we need to look for clues!" Velma insisted.
So they searched a bit. Velma picked up a piece of glass, examining it. She noticed a strange substance on it. Before she could examine this substance, however, she was interrupted by Daphne's scream.
The whole gang turned to see something moving in the wreckage!
