I awaken into my mother's arms. My ears perceive a strange language that I couldn't understand as I was very young. Her gentle smile confuses me as I wail. She tries to console by rocking me back and forth, as my eyes adjust to the world before me.

"Violet, I hope you for the best." She says anxiously.

"She will." A complementary voice responds.

My mother passes me to a similar woman, maybe identical to her. I am passed along the room. My ears impose a heavy weight, and I almost fell asleep as the similar voice spoke again,

"I wish Daniel could've been here. Where has he been?"

"I wish I knew. I really do. He's never disappeared more than two days." My concerned mother responds.  A chocolate-brown lady dressed in white, appears in the doorway of the room.

"Would you like any assistance, Mrs. Jones?" The angelic lady asks.

"No, thank you. I would like some water though, please?" My mother requests

"Right away, Mrs. Jones." The lady rushes away. The related women places me in my mother's lap as blackness reaches my vision.
