September Aaliyah 4 years old, Haven 2 years old, Amina 9-10 months old

"So you got your hot tub." Jed laughed, looking out at the newly installed hot tub. "But I didn't expect anything else."

"You, me tonight." I winked, walking back in the cool house. "Gotta wake the birthday girl up."

"Are you sure the birthday girl wants to be waken up?" He asked following behind me.

"Mammy I awake!" Haven announced, looking tiredly down at us from the top of the stairs. "Bambi and Haven up." She yawned.

"Good morning boo, did you have a nice sleep?" I asked, making my way up towards her. "You normally aren't up this early."

"'Cause I gotta wake Aaliyah up 'cause it her birthday mammy." She explained, holding her arms up for me.

"Yeah? How about we do it together?" I smiled, picking her up.

"She's not going to be happy with you two." Jed sighed, following behind me.

"Aaliyah!" Haven squealed.

"Aaliyah, happy birthday kitten." I cooed, setting Haven back on the ground. Aaliyah tossed in her bed and groaned.

"Wakey wakey Aaliyah." Haven whispered, poking at her older sister.

"No." Aaliyah grumbled.

"I told them not to wake you up." Jed announced.

"You good." Aaliyah mumbled, covering herself back up with her blanket. "I sleep again."

"Aaliyah it's almost lunch time, time to get up." I mumbled.

"No, I skip lunch." She murmured, slowly opening her eyes.

"Aaliyah I open you presents?" Haven asked, crawling on top of Aaliyah.

"Yeah take mammy with you so I sleep." She groaned.

"Well, four going on fourteen are we?" I laughed. "Rise and shine love, you have a very special surprise later.

...

"Where my surprise mammy?" Aaliyah asked softly.

"Should be here any minute." I replied, a smile creeping it's way to my face. Boy was she going to be surprised.

"This many?" She wondered, holding up eight fingers. "Or this many?" She smiled putting down three.

"Maybe even sooner then that." I laughed, putting dishes away.

"I'm four mammy I can do lots of things." Aaliyah giggled. "I'm a very big girl."

"You are." I nodded, my heart beating faster as I saw Sam walking up the sidewalk. "Stay right there, your surprise is going to be at the door." I said, dropping the drying rag on the counter and walking to the front door.

"Is it Jesy?" Aaliyah asked as the doorbell went off.

"That wouldn't be too much of a surprise would it" I sighed, opening the door.

"Where's the birthday girl?" Sam asked, smiling as he walked in to the oh so familiar house.

"In the kitchen." I replied, walking in front of him.

"Daddy!" Aaliyah gasped, running up to him and hugging his leg. "You came daddy!" She cried.

"Aaliyah." I said softly, my heart melting for her right now.

"Hey don't cry angel." Sam laughed picking her up. "What's with the tears?"

"I miss you and you here!" Aaliyah sobbed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "You here."
