Luna's POV:
*4 months later*
'Today is the day,' I thought to myself as I woke up in the morning. It was a cool, crisp, summer morning. Tuesday, August 29, 6:30 AM to be exact. I could barely sleep. I felt like all my energy was building up and wouldn't escape until I made it to the college. So many emotions bundled up with that energy. Emotions such as, fear, anxiety, and nervousness. But all the good ones like, exhilaration, glee, and an amount of liveliness that can last for multiple life times. I'm 18, and already feel like I have the whole wrapped around my finger. I feel like I conquer anything with no stress in failing. But who knows? This adventure to a new surrounding is filled with risks and can end up being more dissatisfying then satisfying. But I didn't care about that right now!
I got up from bed and did my morning routine as usual. Shower, brush teeth, change clothes, do hair, and do makeup. I decided to put on my favorite out fit for this momentous occasion (See Pic on top)
After I finished getting ready, I headed to the kitchen and saw my mom making breakfast as usual. A sunny side up in an English muffin and some salad, with some water to wash it down. I smiled as went to surprise hug my mom from behind. She gasped in shock and turned her head around to face me. She did look back to the pan a few times to make sure she didn't burn the food, though.
"Good morning darling~ Aren't you excited huh? Finally a college student, going to college with a Full scholarship." I smiled and nodded, still hugging my mother. I let go as I replied and walked over to sit at my usual seat at the kitchen table.
"Yep. Why would I not be" I said. Mom chuckled at me and set my food in front of me with a fork for my salad. Then she sat down in front of me with her food, as usual. But as soon as I start living in a dorm, this will not be usual. This would only happen when I came to visit mom on vacation days and sometimes the weekends.
After I finished my breakfast, I packed the last of my things and put them in my car. I turned to my mom and gave her a hug. A small tear rolled down my cheek as I hugged her. I sniffed.
"I'll miss you mom," I said in between sniffs. I can tell mom was tearing up a little bit too. Seeing her daughter leave for college, it's kind of an emotional thing and I expected it. But my mom was not crying, she was just tearing up and smiling widely at me. She let go of the hug and looked at me as she wiped the tear from my face.
"I'll miss you too, but don't worry, we'll see each other more than you think," I slightly giggled and waved one last time before I got into my car and turned it in. I turned around to see my mom standing my the driveway, waiting to watch me until I was out of her sight. I turned back to the road, put my car on drive, and drove off to the College of Greenwich.

When I arrived, I parked to the closest to the school because I did not want to walk too much now that it was getting hotter throughout the day. I turned the ignition off and stepped out of the car like I was in a movie and I was being recorded from multiple different angles as snazzy music played in the background. Pretty dramatic I know but it was certainly necessary for this moment. It made everything feel even more better than it currently felt.
As I walked into the school, I was greeted with many new strangers who were unique beyond my wildest imagination. They're were people with long hair, short hair, slim, beefy, tall, short, I couldn't name them all if I tried. 'So many people!' I thought excitedly. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and it was a girl with blonde hair that was tied expertly in a bun and light freckles. She had green eyes, as green as emerald, and she was about my height maybe shorter. She was very pretty.
"May I help you?" I asked in a polite tone, making sure to have my manners. The girl smiled.
"Are you a new student?" She asked. I nodded. "Same, I thought maybe we could be friends then? I'm Ella," She extended her hand expecting me to shake it. I gladly accepted the offer and shook her hand.
"I'm Luna," I replied. She looked at me with awe.
"That's such a pretty name. It suits you so well." She complimented. What a friendly girl!
"Thank you, I love your hair! How did you so neatly put your hair up like that?" I asked. She smiled as she lightly touched her bun.
"I don't know I've just always been able to do this," She replied honestly. I laughed.
Ella and I waited in line to get our dorm room number/key and schedules from the front. When I did get to the front, a lady, who looked rather depressed to be a college worker asked me for my name.
"Luna," I replied. She handed me my key and schedule.
"Dorm room 237, go to the 2'nd floor to reach the 200's, there's an elevator to your right have a nice day," I nodded in thanks and mindlessly walked to the direction the lady said the elevators were located. As I was walking, I bumped into a guy and fell to the ground with a loud thud.
"Oww..." I hissed as I rubbed my lower back. They boy turned around and gave me a soft look as he extended a hand to help me up. I smiled as I took hold of his ---really warm--- hand and rised back up to my feet. I looked at him. He had long dark hair and ocean blue eyes that were easy to get lost in. He was very tall and slim.He had hipster glasses and was wearing a t-shirt with Mario on it and some denim jeans. I felt my cheeks heat up but not enough to be noticeable, thankfully.
"Are you hurt?" He asked. His voice wasn't that deep but it was deep enough if you get what I mean. He didn't have a British accent so I could tell he wasn't from England.
"No I'm alright, thank you though," I replied. He smiled.
"Well good," The smile suddenly turned into pure dissatisfaction, "Now watch where you're going, we don't need a clumsy twit causing havoc to the halls," I furrowed my eyebrows and glared at him. Pardon my French but I was pissed.
"Excuse me? Who or what the hell gives you the right to call someone you never met a clumsy twit? What if it was you who bumped into me and made me fall, which maybe it was? I didn't insult you by calling you a moron or something like that for not watching where you were going but instead keeping your eyes glued to your phone," I lectured. He looked at me with an annoyed expression.
"Ugh, just go lecture people somewhere else, I have places to be," And with that he left. I watched him walk away and when he was out of sight and hearing, I spat at his existence.
"Pathetic," I spat. And I walked to my dorm.
