"You. Are. So. Dead," Mabel spit at Macy, her younger sister

The two were arguing, as it is what they normally do every day.

"It's not my fault!" Macy argued. "I didn't mean to make you late for work."

"Well because of you, I could lose my job!" Mabel glared, turning the key in the ignition of her car.

"Well you could get another job, right?" The younger of the two gave Mabel a look that said 'duh'.

"You're an idiot," Mabel shook her head, deciding to let it go a little bit. "It's just not that easy."

"I'm sorry, Mabe," Macy winced and looked down, too bored of fighting her sister.

"It's fine," Mabel shrugged, finally getting her car started after a few tries of turning the key and failing. She really needs to get a new car. "Walmart?"

"Duh," Macy looked at her sister with the face again. They don't really shop anywhere else except for maybe the mall. Only because Mabel works there, and mostly everything is discounted a little bit. "Hey, Mabel?"

"Yeah?" The response was.

"Do you think that Dad will be okay?" Macy tilted her head and bit her lip, something she often did out of nervousness. "And please don't sugarcoat it. I know I'm the youngest, but I would really like to know what you think."

That's right. Their father was sick, very sick. Cancer.

"If I'm honest, I don't think he's going to make it out of this one," Mabel sighed. "Can we please not talk about this? I'd rather not start crying in the middle of Walmart."

Macy nodded, getting out of the Aries K car that belonged to her sister. She had nicknamed it Lucifer because it was often hot in the car and it was red. And because Supernatural had taken over her life and Lucifer is her daddy. That's when it started to act up and not want to run properly.

Mabel followed Macy as she walked to the door, carefully watching the way that she walked. She wondered what went on through the head under the pink hair.

"Can we walk around?" Macy asked.

"Not today," Mabel sighed. She hated seeing the sad face that her sister got when they couldn't look around the whole store. She avoided her sister's glazed blue eyes.

They got their usual stuff and walked to the self checkout. For Macy, she got a red Kickstart and some extra cheddar Goldfish, along with two pepperoni Lunchables. Mabel got the same, except an orange Kickstart and a small bag of chips in replacement of the Goldfish.

"When's Anthony coming home?" Macy asked.

Anthony is their older brother, who's at college for psychology, despite the fact that it's summer.

"I think he should be coming home next weekend," Mabel shrugged. "But I think he's staying until Monday."

"He's only staying the weekend?" Macy rolled her eyes.

"I'm afraid so," Mabel nodded slowly as she started her car on the first try. Finally.

The two drove down the highway, a mixtape made up of all types of music playing in the background. It was mostly Macy singing along, but Mabel sang along to some of the songs.

The scenery around them never failed to amaze Macy. The marsh was her favorite part. Sometimes, there were a few pelicans. This was one of those times.

Nathan sighed as he stepped out of the shower. This morning has been especially difficult, what with his girlfriend teasing him about his tummy. All he needed to do was -

His thoughts were interrupted by his phone ringing. It was his friend, Reed.

"Sup Reed?" Nathan greeted.

"I need you to come help me with the Eclipse tonight. Are you able to?" Reed asked, urgency in his voice.

"Probably," Nathan nodded, even though Reed could not see him. "I'll have to ask my mom. Which means I have to put clothes on."

"Were ya jacking off or something?" Reed asked, stiffling a snicker. "I told you to lay off of that."

"No, Reed, I'm not you," Nathan rolled his eyes, attempting to put his boxers on with one hand. "You called when I just got out of the shower."

"Bummer. Well you see ya, then," Reed hung up.

Nathan sighed. Just what he needed, one more thing to stress about.

🐈

"Fuck!" Reed slammed his fist on the steering wheel, beeping the horn by accident.

He was sure he would have been able to fix it this time - maybe the wiring got switched up by accident. Damn him and his color blindness. He was blind enough as it was, past the point of glasses ever helping. His eyes were that bad.

He popped the hood and got out of the car, slamming the door by accident.

"I'm sorry for yelling, baby," Reed caressed the hood before opening it. Now where were the wirings again?

"Daddy!" His little girl ran up to him, giving his calf a hug. "Gramma's here!"

"That's lovely, baby," Reed responded, patting her head before going back under the hood. He had only heard half of what she said, but he knew she was supposed to go to her grandma's some time today.

"Kisses?" The little girl asked, her innocent eyes and tone of voice making Reed's heart hurt. I don't deserve her, he thought.

"Sure, baby," he leaned down to kiss her. "Have fun at grandma's, Sienna."

"I wuv you, Daddy!" Sienna giggled, almost tripping over a cord on her way out.

"Love you too, princess," Reed sighed, shaking his head as he goes back under the hood of his beloved new car. Now if only he could find -

"Reed, babe," Abby, his fiance, walked up to him. "When are you going to get out from under the hood and actually be social for once?"

"I thought I had it fixed, but I fucked something up in the wires," he chose his words carefully, not wanting to upset the woman.

"Not surprising," Abby rolled her eyes, making her way out of the garage. "Lunch will be ready in about 30 minutes, so keep your eye on the clock!"

If only I could actually see the clock, Reed thought.

Now where were those damned wires?

Tony gave up on trying to argue with his girlfriend. It was obvious that they were going to break up soon, anyways. So why not now?

"Maybe we should break up," Tony's girlfriend, Eleanor, stated, as if she had read his mind. It wouldn't surprise him if she could read his mind, she obviously could take care of herself just fine.

"For once, you are right," Tony nodded, picking up the few things she has at his house and handing it to her. "See ya."

"Seriously, Tony?!" Eleanor looked at him, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "You can't even fight for me?!"

"There's no point, it's not worth the negativity that you bring into my life," Tony shrugged, his hand on the small of her back as he lead her to his front door.

"This isn't the last you'll be hearing from me!" Eleanor stated as she got to the sidewalk.

"Probably not," He shrugged, watching her struggle to get into her car.

He watched her car drive off, amazed at himself for finally getting rid of her after four years.

He shut the door once the car was no longer in is vision.

His back rubbed against the door as he slid down it, tears building up in his eyes. He let them come.
