The Shop was silent, as if it was patiently waiting for someone to show up.

It was almost in the middle of nowhere, having to turn off of a long highway to get to it. There were trees surrounding it. Some tall and old, some small and younger. Either way, it was a pretty sight to see.

There was a gravel parking lot in both the front and the back. Beyond that gravel was mainly meadow, just begging for cars to be parked in it. Or at least, that's what one man thought as he first saw it.

Now, a few years later, he had around 20 cars sitting in that meadow. He had fully intended in working on them all, but had usually never found the time to do so. But, one by one, he finished a few of the cars.

That man was Macy and Mabel's father.

Speaking of Macy and Mabel, they had just arrived to The Shop at that moment. The silence was erased, and the place no longer seemed lonely.

It was old and kind of beat up, but that's how their family liked it.

Macy pulled the keys out of her pocket, walking to the front door. The door creaked open, a smile finding it's way onto her face as she turns on the light.

The outside of The Shop was old and beaten down, contrary to the inside. The inside consisted of a bunch of office desks because of the former renters being business men. A small section of the room had been built into an inner office, only having two desks in it - one for their mother and one for their father. But that was only the first part of the building. The back part was a garage-type dealio. One half had a pool table, foosball table, and a fridge. The other half was for cars.

As weird as it was, this was home to Macy. Every time she came here, she would get the feeling that she got only when talking to her favorite person, Dean, or when she listened to her favorite song. There really isn't a place she would rather be.

Originally, random people that her dad knew would come here to look at the cars and help out with things he couldn't do. But Anthony's friends started to come here to work on cars. That's where Dexter comes in.

Dexter is the friend that Anthony had known for practically his whole life, other than his friend Dominic. Dexter is also the friend that Mabel has a crush on. We're talking about a huge schoolgirl crush. He's not as nerdy as he sounds, though. He's hot as hell, which is why a lot of people - girls, specifically - pine after him like cats and catnip. Macy often wondered how he was able to go to school without being distracted 24/7.

This time, surprisingly, Dexter wasn't at The Shop. But his Saturn still was, which wasn't very surprising at all. But then again, it can't run anyways.

Speak of the devil, look who just walked in.

"Hey, Mabel," Dexter nodded toward the older sister, who practically melted at the guy. He pretty much ignored Macy, who didn't really mind because she's always too scared that she'll say something wrong like she always does. "I've got some people coming here later on, so hopefully your dad won't mind."

"Depends on who they are," Mabel shrugged. Macy wondered how she was able to talk to people so smoothly. She envied her sister for that. "Will they be beneficial?"

"To him, I don't know," Dexter shrugged as well. "But they're supposed to be helping me with my car, so hopefully it'll get done and outta here sooner."

"Yeah, hopefully," Mabel nodded, smiling as she watched him walk into the garage portion of the building. She secretly wished that it would take a much longer time to fix the car as Dexter anticipated. The longer it took, the more time she had to see him there. Although, he would most likely find a new project to work on shortly after.
