The Last Sunset

Chapter 1

ALICIA

I was in the middle of my sleep and in the comfort of my bed when I felt something move around my bed at first I didn’t pay much attention until I felt a cold water with ice cubes hit my skin.

“What the hell!!” I was totally shocked and  as I scan my room and saw my bestfriend laughing and stumping his feet on the ground with so much gladness on his face because of what he just did.

“WESKER ANDERSON!! WHAT THE HELL!! HOW COULD YOU? I KNOW AND YOU KNOW THAT I AM A BIG FAN OF YOUR PRANKS BUT THIS ONE JUST SO INFANTILE! RUINING MY SLEEP?? I’LL PRAY THAT POSIEDON WILL ORDER THE OCEAN TO EAT YOU AND BE DEAD!” I was out of air and couldn’t catch my breath with outrage. Both of us are big fans of prank, we both have fun seeing other people being fooled and whatsoever Ha! Ha! But this time is different. I didn’t get much sleep last night because of my unwanted dreams.

“Oh Ali, I’m so sorry. I thought it’s going to be hilarious.” He said as I see a shade of dismay in his eyes.

“So you think this is funny? You? disturbing my sleep?” I said in an irritating voice.

“It’s already twelve noon and I have homemade donut but Nana told me that you were still asleep and I figured out that this might be a good way to wake you but I guess this was a bad idea. You know I love you and I can’t live a day with you being mad at me.” He knows me very well. He knows that her mother’s homemade donuts are my favorite and I can’t stay mad at him the whole day because of that ring-shaped cake fried fat and also that I loved him but he’s just so annoying at all time and I want to throw him in the sea (well I’m just exaggerating).

“Okay fine, but this doesn’t mean I’m done with you! I need you to help Nana change everything in my bed.” His lips start to curve up as he came close and give me a hug.

I was at the seaside with Wesker and Sky. He is really good in handling sky. By the way sky is my 3 year old corgi I think he’s much good in taking care of Sky rather than me maybe that’s why he want to be a Veterinarian someday.
Wesker is such a funny guy he is tall and very attractive his hair is long and very black that touches his shoulder, perfect eyebrow and a thick long eyelashes, I still don’t get why he have those features he don’t even need it HAHA! I envy him (lol just kidding I’m confidently and awkwardly beautiful. Wait what!) I can see the muscle underneath his V-neck shirt I guess all the effort in going to the gym has good outcome at all. I thanked God that even though Wesker has it all he’s not like the guys from our school who use and plays with girls feelings.

My attention was caught by a couple with two beautiful daughters or I should call them a family, I can hear their beautiful daughters giggle and I can see the happines in their Fathers eyes, how he admire the little creatures in front of him, how I wish to see Dad smile that way again, how I wish Mom and Via are  still here, I wish that we could be whole again. I want to hear Moms voice how she sings and hums every night to help us sleep, how she took care of us and she loved Dad. I missed them, I missed us being complete.

"Earth to Ali " I was snapped out of my thoughts  when I saw Wesker in front of me grinning but as he studied my face his expression suddenly change into a concerned one.

"What's wrong ali?" he asked me as he scan  the place and saw the family that caught my attention earlier. "Oh Ali, I know you missed them too." Wesker and I were bestfriends since we were three while Via was six, the three of us were inseparable he was also close to Mom and started calling her 'Mom'. I remember one night that Wesker did'nt want to go home because he wants to play Barbie Dolls with Via and Me. When Wesker heard about the fire he was also sad and he would'nt leave me for days just to make sure Im okay.

"I know Wes, if you think Im sad well Im not!" What a lie.

"Have I ever told you that I love you and you're really bad in lying?" he told me with a smile on his face while he put his arms around my shoulder. I rolled my eyes at his comment. Yeah Im really bad in lying I dont know why maybe Im a good girl after all.

"Oh! Am I that bad? Deym. Dont worry I'll practice it if I have a time." We almost  fall on the sand as I try to balance my self as Wesker tried to fake fall as I elbowed him on his side. I thought I can manage his weight but I was wrong we both fall to the sand as we both laugh as Sky jumped above Wesker while Sky slapped Wesker with his tongue

"Ewww. Wesker, I know Sky is mine  I love him but licking is just not my thing." I was suprised when he rubbed his face with mine and felt the fluid touch my face . Now that is a double eww.

"Oh yeah, what were you saying sunshine, I did'nt hear you?" He tried to sound serious but fails as a wide smile try to escape from his mouth.

"Well thank you for being here with me Wesker. I can't imagine my life without your annoying face around me. Things are a lot cool with you around me." All he just did was stared at me ang kissed my forehead. Well this is Wesker he's not good in serious talk even though he dont say much, I know that he knows what I mean.

It was already dark when we Wesker and I decided to walk home. I actually fell asleep while placed in Wesker's arms in the pure white sand. It's really funny how I manage to sleep in that kind of place. I mean the place was nice  but it'll be a kind  of awkward seeing other people see you sleep while you snore and have drool all over your face. Sad to say Im not a beautiful sleeper. How I wish I could be like Snow White or Sleeping Beauty or whoever princess that even when sleeping would still manage to look graceful and beautiful. HAHA! I guess Im no princess at all.

"Alii!!" Our attention was drawn to the little blond girl running towards us. Its Ruby,   Wesker's niece.

"Hi Ruby! How are you doing little one?" I asked her as I carried her inside our house. Ruby is five and very adorable  with her smile so cute no doubt when she grow old lots of boys will be captivated by her looks but goodluck to them with Wesker's protective behavior I bet all of them will be challenged and have a rough time going near her.

"Im okay. I missed you Ali" she told me as she hold my face with her little hands

"Ali misses you too Princess, but where is Uncles Hugs and Kisses?" Wesker asked Ruby with a broken hearted face.

"Later, Later" she gigled and shove Wesker's face away from her as her attention was caught by Sky.

"Can I borrow Sky?Can he come home with me? Can he stay in my room?"

"Im sorry Princess but Sky is not allowed inside your room." Wesker told Ruby with an Im-sorry-look on his face. Ruby's face suddenly change with tears accompanied by her loud sharp screaming voice.

I cant help myself not to smirk because of what Wesker just did. I know Wesker is just teasing Ruby but I know he did'nt see this coming.

"Okay Princess!! Stop crying! Sky will stay with us!" Wesker exclaimed with both of his hands in the air with the sign of defeat. The tears stops from falling on Ruby's face then a huge grin quickly appeared. Well that was quick.

"HAHA. She got you there Wesker. I think she's gonna be a good actress when she grow up." I told Wesker but he just rolled his eyes at me as I give Ruby a wink.

They stayed for dinner, as always Ruby never fail to make us laugh by teasing Wesker. She's just so adorable even though Wesker is starting to get little irritated I know he adores that little girl.
The time we finish our supper Wesker and Ruby stayed for a while to grab some of Sky's stuff like toy and dog food, after that we say our goodbyes ang goodnight with each other. As I get inside my bedroom I changed into one of Wesker's oversized shirt and pajama and I hop into my bed and feel the comfort that it gives. After my night prayer I felt my eyelid closed as I fell into the deepest of my sleep.
