The Last Sunset

Chapter 2

ALICIA

"Goodmorning Sweetheart. Sit, Nana will be here shortly to serve food" I was suprised when I saw Dad sitting in the dining table with a huge smile and a newspaper in his hand.

"Good morning Dad." I came near him to give him a kiss on his cheek.

"I thought you'll come back on Wednesday? What happaned to the meeting?"

"It went very well sweetheart, Mr. and Mrs. Jovovich are very kind. I thought convincing them will take a lot of time but I thought wrong. They were very considerate. They told me that the Waikiki Hotel and Resort is the most treasurable property that they have here in Hawaii, and they thought it would be good for everyone if I will be the one who will take care of it after them. And I told them we will take good care of it." I was very happy to see Dad this way. The Jovovich is one of the wealthiest couple here in Honolulu but since they were both old and did'nt have anyone who they trust to bestow all of their properties, they choose to sell their properties to those businessman who they know that would take good care of the property.

"That's a very good news Dad. They made a good decision in giving you that property, you're very hardworking and I know you can make it grow and the people who work there will love you." Dad is really good in everything he is very kind and hardworking he loves and care for the people who works for him and I know they reciprocate. Because of him being kind hearted it was easy for other people to trust that's  why he stand out.

"Excuse me sweetheart, I need to answer it."

It was already 7:35 in the morning and Wesker is still not here. He offered me a ride to school because I was too lazy to drive. I guess I'll just wait for Wesker outside.

"Dad, I'll wait for Wesker outside. Take care. I love you" I smiled and kissed him on the cheeks. He just nodded and continued talking to his phone.
It was already 7:55 when Wesker arrived at my house and took us 15 minutes to arrive at school. Thank God there was no traffic.

As we walk down the hallway of Lakeview High School, I hear girls giggled over Wesker as they blushed when he gave them a wink, I hear talks of last weekend's party, and complaining over how much homework and project someone had to complete. And let's not forget the cliche groups that stand in the middle of the hallway, chatting away like they don have class to attend. I smiled as I saw our group of friends in front of my locker laughing in something I dont know.

"Hey guys. How was your weekend?" All of them turned to face me with a huge smile on their faces that could almost rip the lips of thier faces. I know that they enjoyed their weekends but there is something fishy on how they smiled towards me.

"Oh Alicia King!" Miyumi hopped up and down while hugging me I think she's gonna break my leg any moment now. I've been friends with Miyumi Ashworth since 5th grade we are at the same height. She is beautiful with her black and straight natural hair that hangs in her hips with think and long eyelashes, a perfect pouty lips, a beautiful and perfect body and a blue innocent eyes.

"Have we ever told you that we love you and were so proud of you?" Caleb exclaimed while Isaac handed me a paper. I was confused so I took the paper out of his hand and read it.

  Good day. We would like to inform you that you've been one of the chosen performers who would be a part in the upcoming Mokonuie Festival. Its been my dream to perform in front of everybody  I know and I dont know. Mokonuie Festival is one of the biggest festivals here in Honolulu, it is the time where everyone gathered to watch surfers dance with the waves and where different talents are shared.
