Two

"No homo?" Jimin looked up at Namjoon for the nth time, "Either you're making fun of me or you are interested in me." He proceeded to stand up, leaning close to Namjoon.

"So, which one is it."

Jimin was so close Namjoon could see his eyelashes, brown and fanning over those intense eyes. Namjoon could even smell strawberries on Jimin's breath, liking the stranger even more. "I-I'm not telling you." He stuttered.

"Fine." Jimin stopped down and picked up his notes before carefully climbing out the cave.

"H-Hey wait." Namjoon began climbing too. "Can I take you out for coffee or something?"

"You just met me and you want to go on a date, says the no homo guy." Jimin gives Namjoon a big smile. "But sure, you can take me out."

Namjoon could barely form words as Jimin took his hand.

"Just so you know, it's fine to like guys, I like them too."

"So where are you taking me, Minnie?" With Namjoon being a slow walker and Jimin the type to run and look at everything that caught his eye, Namjoon was pulled by "Minnie" down the street to the cafe.

"Here we are!" Jimin gestured to a cozy tea shop and turned to see Namjoon's reaction.

"This place looks amazing, it makes me pretty excited for our date," Namjoon chuckled. "I have been craving tea for a while and this is my first chance to have some."

"So you weren't excited because you're with a pretty man? I feel offended," Jimin pouted, "Maybe you don't deserve to come in with me."

Namjoon blushed and held up his hands in defense, "I didn't mean it like that I swear, I meant I'm more excited now that I'm with someone as pretty as you and getting tea."

Jimin snickered and pulled Namjoon into the tea shop,  revealing the heavenly smell of jasmine and oolong. "Don't worry I was joking, I'm excited you're happy to be here."

"Jiminie!" A woman at the counter waves at Jimin. "So nice to see you again!" She turns to smile at Namjoon, "Welcome! I can tell you're new around here, I hope Jimin is treating you well." 

Namjoon nodded and was led by Jimin into a small alcove near the back of the cozy shop. The duo were surrounded by curtains and swaddled with pillows as insense slowly burned a floral scent.

The woman appeared moments later, holding a tray of black tea and milk, along with a teapot full of water with other tea samples to try.

The pair sat in silence, the only sounds filling the room were sips of tea and clinks of the cup landing in the table.

Namjoon decided to start a conversation, but with the worst conversation starter possible.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked as nonchalantly as possible.

Jimin snorted but answered anyway, "I used to have one, but it ended badly."

"Who was it?"

"This guy named Jeon Jungkook."

"You mean Jeon Jungkook? The famous pastry chef?"

"Yeah."

"Oh."

They lapsed into uncomfortable silence again.

"Any chance you would date again?"

"If I find the right person."

"Oh." Namjoon set down his cup. "Do you want to go out again tomorrow?"

"I have classes tomorrow."

"After your classes."

"Someone's too eager to meet again." Jimin smiled, "But sure after my classes. I'll text you."

They traded numbers before standing up.

"Thanks for hanging out with me today." Namjoon held out his hand for Jimin to shake.

"Don't be so old fashioned." Jimin walked close to Namjoon and stood on his toes.

He lightly kissed Namjoon on the nose, making his face blush crimson red.

A smiling Jimin giggled before skipping out.

Namjoon just stood there, amazed. Jimin went from an annoyed student studying in a beach cave to a friend that would tease and kiss him... in the span of two hours. Maybe it was destiny he decided to walk on the beach that day, to get curious and strike up a conversation with Jimin.

His heart soared again, thinking about the short pink-haired boy.

He was in love, no doubt about it. It reminded him of a poem.

"A kiss is just a kiss until you find the one you love, a hug is just a hug until you find the one you're always thinking of.

A dream is just a dream until it comes true,

Love was just a word until the day I met you."
