Her Grave

Ok it's hard to edit this cause I hate this whole chapter. Too much happens in such a short period of time.

Percy was starting to get used to his new life with the avengers. And his new relationship with Loki. But lately Percy had been distant, more depressed. The avengers didn't know that his mothers death anniversary. And Percy didn't intent for them to find out the way they did.

Percy's Pov

"Mommy!" I ran to mommy, who was lying on the floor. Her eyes were open but she didn't blink. "Mommy?" I gently shook her but she didn't wake up. I was smart enough to know she was dead. Gabe came in the room and laughed at me. "Your mother was pathetic just like you" Gabe then grabbed my shirt and threw me to the wall. I watched him rape my mothers dead body then he started towards me. "Nooooooooooooooooooo" I woke up screaming and crying with Loki rocking me gently whispering soothing words in my ears.

"Your ok love" I heard "I promise I'll protect you" I latched onto Loki and sobbed. "Mommy" I cried and Loki started rubbing circles into my back. "Shhhhhhhhhhh darling, everything will be alright. It was just a bad dream"  after awhile I finally stopped but I was still hiccuping and clinging to Loki.

Loki's Pov

My poor Percy was sobbing after a nightmare, holding me like I was his lifeline. "Are you alright love?" I ask letting the concern fill my voice. When I was around Percy I didn't have any masks and I could act myself. "I-I... I-I'm f-fine" he stuttered out letting go of me slightly. I knew what he was dreaming about.

Just because the avengers don't know doesn't mean I don't. "It's today isn't it" Percy shot his head up to look at me and slowly nodded. "Would you like to go see her"

Percy nodded solemnly and whispered brokenly "can we get flowers?" My heart hurt to see him like this. "Anything for you my darling" Percy clutched my hand hard and we made our way downstairs. "Good morning brother, Percy" Thor greeted us when we walked into the kitchen, and every eye was on Percy.

No doubt they heard him screaming. I rubbed Percy's thumb with my hand and he relaxed a little. "Good morning" Percy whispered waving slightly. "Me and Percy are going out today"

I declared and I felt Percy tense up. Clint looked concerned and said "Are you-" "Yes" I snapped and Percy flinched. "I'm sorry love, are you alright?" Percy nodded and we ate breakfast still holding hands.

Steve and Tony glared at me. I don't think they like the fact that I'm dating their 'son'

Percy's Pov

Loki and I walked down the street towards the cemetery. I clutched his hand nervously, not caring about the judgmental looks we got.

We stopped by the flower shop and I saw Linda, the florist. "Hello Linda" she whipped around and smiled brightly at me "hi Percy! It's been awhile"

I nodded sadly and Linda turned her attention to Loki. "Who's this" she asked pointedly and Loki flinched.

Loki still believed he was a monster and doesn't like to go out in public. "I-I-I.... I-I'm L-L-Loki" Linda became enraged at his name. "The Loki that tried to take over the earth?! My daughter was killed in that attack! You monst-"

"LINDA!" I shouted gaining her attention. I stomped over and grabbed her ear dragging her to the back. I'm such a power icon.

"look I'm not going to go into much detail but Loki was being mind controlled at the person that did it tortured him. He was taken back to asguard and his father didn't believe him. He punished him by sewing his mouth shut and making him the castle punching bag. After all he's been through he still believes he killed all those people and that he deserves everything he got."

By the end of my rant Linda was crying softly. "I'm so sorry I had no idea. I have to apologize to him." I nodded sadly and we both headed back to the front.

Loki immediately snapped his head up and rushed towards Linda. He dropped to the ground and bowed at her feet. "Please..." he cried "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anyone"

It felt like my heart shattered and I dropped next to him trying to pull him up but he wouldn't budge.

"Please Loki... please get up. You don't have to apologize. It's not your fault. She's not angry with you" I started to cry softly in frustration when Loki looked up at me with blank glazed eyes.

Why did bad things always happen to us?

"Not today" I whispered

"what's going on?" Linda whispered horrified.

"He's having a flashback. He thinks he's back with his father" Loki curled up on the ground, muttering apologies. "Please forgive me master. Please punish me.."

Loki was cut off as I slapped him. I felt like shit for doing that. Slapping him brought back memories of Gabe taunting me saying I'll be like him one day.

Loki gave me a blank stare then his eyes got their color back. "Percy love? Why are you crying? And why was I-" Loki stopped, realizing what happened.

I started to sob in horror and Loki rushed me into his arms whispering soothing words in my ear. "I'm so sorry" I sobbed "I slapped you, I'm just like Gabe. I don't wanna turn into him"

Loki tilted my chin and stared into my red rimmed eyes. "You are nothing like that monster. Do you hear me?" I nodded and he kissed me softly while stroking my hair.

We pulled apart and Loki picked me up looking at Linda. "I'm sorry for disturbing you like that, but we need flowers for Percy's mother."

Loki's Pov

Linda nodded still a bit shaken and walked to the back. She came back a few minutes later and handed me the blue bouquet. "This is what Percy gets all the time, blue roses and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you without getting the full story."

I nodded, thanked her, and left the shop. People shot looks at me carrying Percy but I payed them no mind. We reached the cemetery and I sat at Sally's grave, laying the now sleeping Percy in my lap.

"Hello Sally, you haven't met me but I'm Percy's boyfriend, Loki. He's suffered so much since you were taken. He was raped and beaten just like me. And I don't know why he chose a monster like me but I promise you I will protect him. I love him"

I stroked Percy's hair softly and he slowly opened his eyes. He scanned me the looked at his mothers grave. "Mom!" He shouted and and jumped up too quickly which made him dizzy.

I laughed and sat him back in my lap. "I was talking to your mother. I hope you don't mind"

Percy shook his head and looked at the grave "Hi mommy, this is Loki, he's my boyfriend. Oh! Guess what Gabe got arrested for child abuse and murder! I finally got him Mom, just like I said I would" Percy continued talking about his new job and life living at the tower.

It had long since gotten dark and we started to head back. We tried to sneak into the tower, but as soon as we got in the door, the lights turned on ant the team was sitting on the couch looking at us. "Do you realize how late it is?" Steve asked disappointed
