"A.. what?" I said.
I known Stephen for 2 years and he isn't the type to pull pranks on people out of the blue; unless it is payback or any other reason.
"OK let me try and break this down for you" he said sitting down comfortably on a couch chair facing my direction.
"You said your eyes glew purple right? Then it means you turned into a leslin"
"A leslins is someone with the ability to do awesome and unbelievable things"
"A good example of a leslin's ability is being able to teleport, now not every leslin has the ability to teleport but their are others around the world that can teleport. Just like me"
"Wait so your telling me that they're more of these "leslins" around the world?"
"That's right my dear friend and you just so happen to be one" he said with a smile, as if this was the greatest thing to ever happen to someone.
Well if you did get the sudden ability to do something that made life easier, it would be something to be happy about.
But great things do come with a price.
I already knew that with these powers there already people around the world using it for their own selfish needs.
"So is there anyone else we know that is a leslin?"
"Yeah, Mindy is one too"
"Wait seriously? So what's her ability?"
Mindy is Stephen's sister and their only 1 year apart, we all go to the same school together.
Right before Stephen was about to tell me her ability, Mindy slams open the front door and runs in like she was running away from maniacal dogs.
"DON'T SAY ANOTHER WORD!"
Stephen and I look at each other with a worried and confused face.
"Mindy! What happened?!"
Stephen asked as he stood up and walked over to her.
"You know exactly what happened! You almost told Jeddy my ability!"
She said whit a childish angry face.
"What..?"
"Wait wait wait, Were you eavesdropping on us? I thought something bad happened to you!"
"You shouldn't make people worry for some stupid reason"
"Well I'm alright, you can calm down now dad"
She said pointing at him
"Ugh you always do this, and what's worst is that I'm used to it"
Stephen said with a sigh.
This kinda of stuff happens between them every now and then, Mindy does something worrisome and Stephen rants about it.
He's almost like a mother that can't get over her grown child.
Its crazy how we went from talking about people with powers to a worrisome argument.
