Blurry and weak, I opened my eyes.
I saw a beautiful woman hugging me ever so tightly, and a man smiling happily.
Everything was moving so fast, I couldn't keep up with all the movements. I let out a cry as the couple hugged me more in awe.
Those were the days,
After about two years of successfully surviving my poor, but fair, life, a door slammed open, a man jumped inside, grabbing everything in sight. I was confused, my parents threw me into a small basement. What's going on?
My mother had hesitantly given me to my father as she escaped the small room.
My father's eyes teared up as he saw her leave.
We waited quietly for my mother's appearance. It never came.
We heard a gunshot and I went silent.
We heard a thud and some footsteps come toward the small basement dad and I hid in.
"Pam!... Pam!!??" I heard my father exclaim, in fear.
"Mom?.." I asked, looking around. I rushed to her bedroom and we found her lying on the floor of her bedroom, she looked creepily at the ceiling.
I shook her, she didn't hover.
I looked up at my dad, who fearfully looked down to her, tears filling his eyes.
That's when it came to me. She was gone.
The gunshot, the tears, all of it came to my head.
It was all going so fast, I couldn't keep up with all the tension.
"They caught her.." I heard a weak mumble.
That did she do? Well, my small town's population grew too much.
Wealthy men were forced to kill anyone who had a medical condition, due to the population, they figured the medical wouldn't last as long. There for, my mother had Cancer Stage 4. She had three more days to live anyways.
We all got tested three times a year. More than two million people, tested in three days? Non-stop. Every other wealthy family gets to be successful,every other wealthy got to grow old, the weak were tested, shot, or hung, if they had a medical problem.
