Hour 9

27 4 2

We're here.

I knew you were lying.

What? I never lie!

You told me the bus ride would last
 for three days.

It's not my fault you're so gullible.

It's not my fault I'm green.

Actually, it is.

Shut up.

So, how do you like the city?

We've only been in it for like five
minutes.

Should be enough time to gauge
your feelings. A real New Yorker
thinks on their feet. Unless they've
been shot to the cement, that is.
Then they're just dead.

Lucky them.

What? Is the reality of your
situation finally coming to light?
Are you finally seeing just how
hard it will be to follow your
dreams?

Possibly.

Then you're halfway there.

What?

There's several stages to
achieving your dream. Step one
is to actually have a goal, something
to aspire towards. Next, one must
formulate a plan, a step you
obviously skipped. Then you get
to where you're going and everything
goes to hell. That's where there's two
paths you could chose; either you
give up and keep milking cows in Ohio-

I didn't live on a farm.

Or you keep going, persevere,
and live the life you dreamed of.
The question is, which one will you
choose?

I-I want to do this. I want to act.

Then do it. Look that mugger-filled,
polluted, wonderful city in the eye and
make it your bitch.

Sounds violent.

Might've come out a little different than I
meant for it to, but you get the gist.
So,
what do you say?

I'm in.

Good. Because I've been planning that
speech in my head the whole ride over.

That's kinda sad, Dan.

I don't need to be told twice.
