Felt connected for a while there
I grew up and you went where?
We saw the world as it passed around
We felt the same pain when it brought us down
Held your hand to cross the street
Now it's a mystery as to when we'll meet
Was it you who stood in the cold?
With me in the mornings, the stars so bold?
I see you there in my memories
But you're a stranger now, don't you see?
I have to reintroduce myself
At our family gatherings, tell of my health
I feel our knots getting loose
Will they re-tangle themselves to a noose?
Mom is all we have in common now
Don't quite understand why or how
Brothers and sisters, we've come so far
Not like we ever tried very hard
My siblings, my blood, I've nearly forgotten you
Do you ever forget me too?
Do you remember the one we lost?
The eldest one of us all?
Wonder what they would've been
If they had lived to commit our sins
How do I miss them in my chest
When they never breathed a single breath?
Brothers and sisters, even the eldest one,
I can't help but feel our bonds are gone
