Chapter Five

April

Shhh!Hush little human girl, don't try to scream...."

And the next moment my throat was grabbed by a muscular hand firmly yet not so hard to make me chock.

Zeke

Zeke brushed my hair off my shoulders with his fingers. It was his first step to drink my blood. I knew..
And I didn't try to push him off or did anything in my defense as I knew that I'd be failed again.

His hands held me in place while he continued to suck on me.

With my eyes closed, I felt Zeke on my neck while he was playing with a strand of my hair and Christina on my wrist, resting her hands on my thigh.

I had to find a different way. They were way stronger than me. I would never be able to fight them from front..

I stared at the ceiling as I was laying on my bed.
I groaned a little and changed my position so I was laying on my stomach, burying my face in the pillow.
I couldn't sleep. I was tired enough to fall sleep. But I was feeling suffocated.

I sat up on the bed, stepping out of the bed. I put on the grey sweater which was laying on the chair and made my way to the door.
I screwed the door knob and get out of the room.

I needed air.

I walked through the silent corridor, only hearing the foot step of my own.

It should be around 3:30am. Not before so long the sun will be rising and vampires get burned in the sunlight (?) . So I assumed they are sleeping.

I kept walking till I heard a weak sound of moaning from a room I was passing by.

I knew it was Ace's room, as when Chrissy was in a good mood I managed to get some information about them and that's when she told me where their rooms were.

I was about to pass by but I didn't know why but a voice in my head kept telling me that he might be needing my help.. Even though he was my enemy, I should help him.

I couldn't unhear the voice.

I knocked on the door, "Ace? Is that you?Are you alright?".

Fuck! You should never doing this! He's in trouble? Then let him be in trouble! Why should you even care? One of the voices screamed.

No response came from the behind of the door.
I wait for a few seconds before the previous voice in my mind told me to enter the room.
No! Don't go! You idiot! Go back to your room!! Another one instructed.

But I found myself screwing the door knob,entering the room.
I found the room dark nothing but a lamp beside of a bed.
In the light of the lamp I saw Ace laying on the bed.

" No... Please. "he pleaded, his eyes were closed.
" Don't leave me here " he cried. They way he had his knees curled to his chest, his lips were twisted into a bitter down turned line, it looked like if he was hurting really bad.
My eyes were already adjusted to the darkness and the lamp was also helping me to see. So I could see his moves clearly.
" No!! "he let out a loud scream, that echoed in the room.
He was still in the sleep.
He tucked his fingers in his hair and suddenly start pulling it.

No need to tell he was having a nightmare.

Good! Who gives others nightmares should experience nightmares too.
One side of me was telling me to leave him but another side kept telling me to help him.
And I found myself listening to my another side again.

I shook him," Wake up! You're having a nightmare.. Ace! "

He quickly sat up on his bed. His whole body was shaking and wet with his sweaty. His breathing was fast, he was panting.

My eyes widened with shock as he suddenly wrapped his arms around me. He pulled me closer to his chest as he rested his head on my shoulder.
I felt his heart beating so loud as if it was going to burst out of his chest.
And his sweaty smell, I didn't know why but my stupid nose was finding it sweet and dreamy.

His hot breathing on my shoulder,his body heat warming up to me..
They were giving me weird feelings in my stomach..
What was that? Butterflies?!!

" What happened Ace?" I found myself caressing his back,as he still held me.
No you should not be doing this!

But I found myself getting melted by his body heat, irresistibly drawn to him.
Like a moth drawn to a flame.

It was quite shocking to see someone like Ace who found joy in making others suffer, scared like this.

"what happened? "I asked again. I felt his breathing calming down a little.
" Stay right here.... Please. " his voice was low and raspy.
I knew it was supposed to be an order but why then did it sounded like pleading?
My eyes widened as I felt a little moisture on my shoulder.

Holy hell! Was he crying?!

*Flashback*

" Don't leave me here, please! "I pleaded, on my knees.
" The world isn't for someone like you. You deserve to spend the eternity burning in the hell. " she said. Her tone was strong and tough, I knew she wouldn't have any mercy on me.
" But why are you doing this? What did I commit so wrong? "I asked her, tears streaming down my face.
I never thought she'll do this to me. She was the girl I gave my every single thing to.
" what's my fault? Please tell me? " I asked again.
" Your fault is that you're born a monster. You'll be causing death to many innocent people. And I won't let that happen. So DIE! " she yelled as she broke the lantern on the ground creating a fire circle around me.
" No! I trusted you!I loved you Don't do this to me!"I screamed.

"Don't kill me! I promise I'll never hurt any mortal. Never!"

"You like monsters should never be trusted " she said before vanishing in front of my eyes.
" No! "I screamed as I felt those hungry flames touching me, trying to calm down their hunger by savoring me.
I felt hard to breath as those smokes covered me up, making my world dark...

*End of the Flashback *

When April asked me what happened in that tone, I couldn't hold back my tears.

Shame on me! I should never show my weak side to a mortal! Never!
But I couldn't help.

My prey was comforting me?? The mortal girl who was supposed to be get devoured by me, was comforting me?
It was expected if she would left me here. Because I was the one who tortured her.
She should hate me.

But then why was she comforting me? I never thought that someone would behave like that to someone as monstrous and hideous as me.
But..
Why? What was her mission behind this? Maybe no mission at all? But humans did nothing without a mission. Their one and only mission is to hurt others.
Anyone!
Why? Why? Why? For God's sake why?!
I felt my head getting dizzy. And suddenly my eyes widen as it crossed my mind.

By any chance was she the girl referred in the curse?
No, no, no, NO! It couldn't be. She can't be.
But if she was, then she's gonna be the one to kill me,
she's gonna be the one to save me..... I wanted a escape from this cursed life.

I told her "Stay right here,... Please" as I continued to hide my disobedient tears.

Save me April... Kill me please.
