Meddling with the forces of hell has always been a risky idea; Joan Hale is about to find out how truly dangerous things can get.
Driven by an insatiable desire to avenge her parent's deaths, Joan makes a deal with none other than the devil himself. Enlisting the services of the demon Avander, she sets about tracking down the murderers. But when she meets a strange little girl, she finds herself setting down a path from which there is no turning back. As an ancient and long forgotten family secret is unveiled, Joan finds herself at the center of a war that will determine the fate of Heaven, Hell and Earth.
