Peyton List as Jackson McQueen

Jackson's Pov:

You could catch a firefly and tell yourself to make a wish, a wish that could possibly come true, or possibly not. We could wish that we want a different life, for someone to rewind the clock, bringing us back to the day we regret the most. The wish would be to fix that mistake.

Flashback to Graduation Day....

I watch as the valedictorian stares at the people who probably did not even know she exists. She smiles though proudly knowing she has a diploma, but if anyone knew, she was actually the school's young princess. I sit next to two idiots, two idiots I sadly call jocks. These jocks were always be annoying and they will never get the point that the sports scholarship will never lead them anywhere. I sometimes can't believe I am graduating with friends who I met through a tiny alien. I look to the other side and see Emma, she has her blonde hair still the same way, down, but framing her face. Her cap and gown being blue and gold, matching that nice charm bracelet that Tuck gave her. I look towards the back and see Tuck, Munch, and Alex fooling around as usual, not caring what people say.

"We live our life as if we could never let go," the girl speaks. "I always dreamed walking out my life with a diploma in one hand, and a new found grace for all my friends," she finishes. "The relationships we had every day, were never the same today or in the future," she starts again. "Because nothing was ever the same," she explains. "But here's to us! We are out of here!" she yells as she takes her diploma and walks off the stage.

I look at the house as I see drunk teens walk out, stumbling in their heels, in their tiny outfits, or shirtless selves. I did not trust this, but of course Alex and them convinced me to go. I should've been at home, packing my stuff for New York. After New York, I am leaving for Canada and staying there for good.

I watch as Alex, Munch, Tuck, and Emma just lay back. They all had a beer in their hands as they talk about the futures. Emma takes something out of her bag as she hands it to each of us. A little bracelet with a green alien on it. I run my fingers through it as I think about it. Echo brought us together, but now he is back home hopefully.

"Friends forever, no matter what," Emma says as we all put the bracelets on.

Flashback over...

I touch the bracelet I took out of the tiny box and smile at it, before placing it in the trashcan in my kitchen. I lost contact with all of them, and it's only been one year. Alex, I don't even know anymore what we are because five months ago, he stopped all the messages and everything. I assume I am done with him and that we are over, but I think we aren't. At least, I do. I haven't dated anyone just in case it could've been called cheating. Emma and Tuck, last time I heard, two months ago they got engaged. Honestly, they are still young, but so ready for the college life. Munch, he is still studying college hard as ever to become the best computer science nerd ever, but he also has a girlfriend who is studying in becoming a lawyer.

I walk out of my kitchen as I hear a knock on the door, it went silent after the first two, then it became a loud banging. I grab my baseball bat as I walk towards the door, if I had a say, there are a bunch of crazy lunatics in this city. I go on my tiptoes as I try to see who is at the door.

"No matter how high you think you can go on your tippy toes, you'll never be able to really see, Rebel," I hear the voice and drop the bat as I open the door, jumping into Gary and Garret's arms. I hear them chuckle as they catch me in their arms and pull me in a bone crushing hug. "Still a midget, eh?" Gary jokes as he looks at me. I roll my eyes as I walk into my apartment and into the kitchen.

They take a seat at the nook as they smile at me, then notice the bracelet in the trash can. I push the thing close as they look at me wondering why I did such a thing. "I am getting rid of some rusting jewelry from my bedroom," I explained. They just nod, well Gary does, but not Garret. He looks at me, trying to deicifer whatever I am trying to hide. "Would you stop staring, it is very bad to do that!" I exclaim as I walk to the fridge.

"So how's Alex?" Gary asks me. I freeze up at the question for I never told my family anything about him. "More importantly, when was the last time you spoke to him?" Garret asks me. I tense up even more, trying to figure out a lie to tell them both. "I think the bigger question is, did you know about Alex's new girlfriend?" Gary asks me. Finally, I am completely stiff from the world. Girlfriend? He didn't even break up with me and he decides he wants someone new?! I feel myself angry, but sad, then even more angry knowing he never had the guts to tell me.

"Of course I knew!" I exclaim. The two men look at me as they stare at me shock. "I knew for awhile, the last time we talked was like two months ago," I start, "When I found out Tuck and Emma are engaged," I finish. If I had a trophy, it would be for best liar. Although, Alex always knew. He said I would scrunch up my nose or just be extra sassy or even laugh it off all day. When Alex lies, you can tell instantly. He would never smile at you, he would walk away telling his answer. I found it oddly funny because he would always look like a child doing it.

"Well, we better head off to sleep, thanks for letting us stay in our bedroom," they both bid good night as I head to my attic upstairs. I had to ask for an apartment with extra storage because I planned on not moving again. I go to a box, removing the ones on top of it, and open it. I take out all the stuff animals and laugh at this unicorn one.

Flashback to summer before senior year....

I laugh as I look at Alex who had two fries up his nose, being childish as ever. He looks at me as he places a tiny kiss on my nose. He would talk about how he found love in a young women, with brown hair, blue eyes, and her flaws will he always love. I sometimes forget he is talking about me and when I do remember, I would just blush like a tomato and smile like crazy.

We went to the fair, which happens every August. They would have a circus area, and an area for the people to play games, eat, and have that cheesy Tunnel of Love ride. Alex and I would ride it and make whisper comments about the people who smile at each other like crazy. I would laugh because Alex would point out some guy's hair or how he has a weird tooth.

I spot a baby unicorn in the carnival games, it was so cute and had this little hat with sparkles on it. Alex notice it as I didn't let go of his hand when I stopped. He smile at me as he gave the man a dollar to participate in the game. It was one of those basketball games where you had to shoot three balls into the basket to win a prize. More balls you buy, the bigger the prize. I smile at my boyfriend who made the shots so easy, as he points to the unicorn I wanted. He handed me the stuff animal before placing a ring on my finger.

"One day, I promise to replace with an engagement ring, because I cannot wait to spend my life with a girl like you," he says. I look at the emerald ring he placed on my hand and giggle about it.

Flashback over.....

I look at the ring now as I kept on the horn of the stuff animal. I put the stuff animal back as I look at another box. It had a bunch of video tapes and CD's as I read each label. They were from Tuck when we were all fooling around with our adventures. I smile at this memory for now it had brought up a certain memory. I guess they are right, you can never escape the past you tried to runaway from.
