One Last Time {Earth to Echo 2}

Chapter 6

Third POV
Gary walk through the metal doors, with a Manila folder in his hand. He knew what was going to happen, but he knew the betrayal was worst. After two years, if Alex and them stayed quiet, Jackson wouldn't have gone through with the plan. Gary had just gotten her back on course and was willing to help pay for her to get her name changed to start a new life.

Jackson couldn't get anywhere because the government made sure of it. The others were lucky, but Jackson wasn't. He was mad, beyond mad, that his little sister couldn't do great things because of her past. He look ahead as he push the doors hard and went a sharp left.

He twist a door knob, the room labeled D501 Umdercover. Gary drops the Manila folder and looks at the man. The folder is open as the true area of where Echo is, and why there is only one alien sighting.  The man smirks as he grabs his cellphone.

"Take Jackson off the list," he starts. After brief silence, "She gave us the information." Gary smiles as he knows what happens next. "She will start college, any of her choosing, next year. You made a good decision Agent G," he shakes Gary's hand as they both laugh. 

  Emma's Pov

I couldn't believe it.  I still can't believe it.  Jack wouldn't do this.  She couldn't have done this. We were headed for her place now as the boys try to come up with a plan. They felt as if Jackson will jump them when we got there.  I highly doubted it. 

"We have to be on our toes," Munch speaks as he types on his laptop. We all were tense since we found out. Munch was the brains and did figure it out. "She could be tracing us," he says. 

"Maybe she had a reason guys," I tell them.  I've been trying to reason with them but it was no use.  They made up their minds, now it's my turn. Mel left about three hours ago and I'm so glad.  Alex and her broke up too, best news since then. "She has to have a reason!" I exclaim.  Now I got their attention.

"Reason?" Tuck starts. Great, oh great. "Reason?! Emma she sent us the wrong information! She could've given the right one to the government!" He yells at me. I roll my eyes as I show him the ring on my finger. He steps back as he just kisses my cheek.  "Sorry," he mumbles. 

"I'm just saying"

"And I'm saying there is none," Alex cuts me off.  I glare at him, but it doesn't affect him.  "She made her choice, she has to live with the consequences," he finishes as the train stops. 

Her apartment looked dull, at least to me it did. I was about to knock on the door till Munch just kicked the whole thing down. Jack was reading a book in her shorts and oversized sweater. She wasn't surprised, nor shock we were here. She gestures towards the dining table as she places the book down. It wasn't a book, it was our scrapbook of our high school years. Then it show the last page where we all had our graduation cap.

"You did it because you want to go to college," I speak up. I remember she wanted to go to LA for college, but never got in because the government refused to let her go. "Tuck and Munch got into college because the government wanted their brains and strategy for missions," I realize why she did this all. We all look at her and the boys feel guilty.

"This was my last chance guys," jack says. "I would never hurt you and I'm never selfish," she keeps talking to us. "My dreams are on hold because of this. I want to achieve my dreams of being an artist or art critic," I feel an amounts of guilt.

Alex gets up as he walks into the balcony. Jack looks upset as she heads out, following him. We all just sigh and hope Alex can keep his temper in.

Alex's Pov

I feel like an asshole. Mel and I broke up, and I feel like there's something I should do. I feel another presence as I see someone sit next to me on the porch couch. Jackson looks ahead at the city view as she smiles at the sight of it. I knew why she chose this place, to get away from everyone when she looks at this view. I know her so well. I want to scream at her right now.

"You did this," I tell her. She nods as she keeps looking forward. "I cheated on you," She bites her lip. I hated when she did that.  It drove me insane. "I broke up with Mel," she finally looks at me. 

"I'm sorry," she tells me.  I nod at her as I look at her.  Her brunette hair is replaced with blonde hair, her eyes are more hazel now.  Her skin is paler because of the cold I guess. Her lips, damn those lips man.  "I was really broken when I found out," she tells me.  I sigh as I look at the view.  "We were happy.  At least I thought you were," she takes a deep breath.  I really hurt her, I really did. "I thought you would be mine forever.  Three kids like we planned, a house with a porch. A dog or two," I shake my head and run my hands through my hair. 

"I'm sorry," I tell her.  She nods and looks at me. "I love you, Rebel.  I love you since the day you walked into class and told people to call you Rebel because of the fact you had a guy's name.  I love you since you interacted with Echo the first time. I love you since our first adventure together.  I will love you always and I hope one day, you come back to me realizing that I want you back," I say in my head. Jackson looks at me still as she grabs my face and kisses me.  I kiss her back, pulling her into my lap. I grab her ass as she moans giving me time to slip my tongue in her mouth.  This kiss, so much passionate and I love it. I love her.

"I love you Alex.  Forever and always," she tells me as she touches our foreheads together.  My breathing is a little steady as she giggles.  "Yeah you said that all out loud," I laugh at the fact she knew what I was thinking. She lays her head on my shoulder as I pull her really close. 

"I know you gave them false information too," i look at her. She smiles as she walks back into the house.  I groan as she hits me with a pillow.

"Cmon you big baby," she says as she holds the door for me. I walk in as the guys look at us. She whistles really loud and out comes someone we all miss. The sound we haven't heard in a really long time.
