<Edgar Nixon POV>
I suited up for continuing this stressful case. Gus and I were baffled on how this case was going to end. John's wife made it very perplexing for us. She twisted the case and brought it to a whole new degree. Investigation still needed to happen to confirm this was true. I departed my house for continuing another annoying day at work. I was moving to John's house for more clues.
Gus and I met in front of John's mansion looking for clues that could confirm this situation. We were almost confirmed that this was a murder but John's wife muddled us. We had a team of detectives working round-the-clock trying to figure a solution for this. Ideas for flying out like cake but there was no cooperation. At that point Gus gave me a good idea. He said this exactly, "Why don't we look at the body of John Carter." I felt futile, for not thinking of this idea before-hand.
We went to the mortuary to check his corpse. He was wounded in the chest. A gun pierced through his body. It was vile to see. The bullet wasn't taken out. I carefully dismantled the pellet apart from the body. It looked like 0.40 S&W bullet. Mrs. Carter was a preposterous liar. Gus and I stared in disbelief. It was a murder. P. John Carter is a right handed individual while the S&W gun is a left-handed pistol. Who else is left handed? well, it's none other than his wife.
It was a risk to arrest Mrs. Carter. I wasn't completely sure she did this. It was only self-intuition. "Maybe she didn't know at all" I thought to myself. There were a thousand speculations running through my mind. Instead I ordered a defense team to imprison her. She walked out of her residence slowly and took gradual footsteps towards me. She told me one last thing before she left, "Why?". I felt like an atrocious human being. She was full of emotion telling me to think again. "Why did I do this?", I asked to myself once or twice. Was she really the murderer? It's her interrogation tomorrow and she has to confess the truth.
