Ch.18 Awakening

For awhile I considered not writing anymore. I was gonna delete the book entirely but Destiny Campbell messaged me on facebook asking me to update a little bit ago so here I am. I'd like to dedicate this chapter to her. Thank you for caring enough about Haylee, Damon, Alec and  Reece to see where their story goes.

Recap:

Bending over I pull the dagger out of my boot. Taking in a breath I slide the blade over the inside of my hand causing a thick line of dark red to come up. Damon came toward me, but my hand was already on the door making a line of my blood across it. The door starts to Tremble on its hinges; then it explodes inward causing a gust of wind.

I step inside and look around at the people now waking up from a deep sleep. I walked straight to one person. The person I've dreamed about most of my life. The one every girl needs.

"Hello Mother."

She stood up from the chair she spent the last 18 years of her life in. They were all sitting in tall backed chairs showing how powerful they were.  Carson and Luther were in the tallest chairs higher up on the steps. Holding hands they stood up and looked right at me. I don't know what I was think they would look like but I do know the paintings did them no justice. Carson was beautiful. She looked just like me except her eyes didn't change color and she still looked a thousand times better somehow. Luther looked like he just got done watching the longest movie of his life and is bored. Although he still looked happy and proud at the sametime. 

I looked over to their lower right and froze.Which is kinda ironic seeing as everyone else in the room just became unfrozen. Just now breaking apart were three people who I wasn't really sure how i felt seeing. Cici and Chase along with their son ......Jace?

"Haylee?" My eyes snap from Jace and go to the voice that sounds like velvet. I looked up in time to see my parents descending the steps. "Haylee!" Carson jumped in my arms hugging me until I couldn't breath. Which I thought was the tightest hug of my life until Luther decide it was a great idea to grab both Carson and I. Lord I swear my eyes nearly popped out of my eye like those damn squeeze toys.

"You so beautiful." Carson after Luther put us down. 

Stepping back I look her up and down, "Well i don't look nearly as good as you, but not everyone can get eighteen years of beauty sleep."

"You have a point there." It wasn't until an arm snaked around my waist that I remembered everyone else in the room. "Who is all of these people?"Luther added on. 

Turning around i indicated to Conner. "This piece of crap here is the new Alpha of your old pack Carson." Her eyebrow raised at the sound of her name coming out of my mouth like shes a complete stranger. Which she is; I mean yes she is my mother but shes not exactly my mom even if it wasn't by choice. 

I introduced Alec next who was standing to my right. "This one who looks like he'll burn your castle down just because he's bored is my demons half brother and one of my Guardians Alec." 

Reece was standing on the other side of Demon looking at everything around the room. "That who looks like he fell straight from heaven is....." 

"Reece?" Luther cut in before I could even say Reece's name. He grabbed Reece in a hug. 

"Its been forever my friend." Reece said to Luther.
