Hey Guy! The third chapter is up! The picture is the bouquet of flowers for the ballerinas' room. Anyway, hope you enjoy. Now to the story.

Maria's POV.

I woke up at my normal time like usual and got ready for the day. I decide to wear my corset loosely, a maroon shirt, and a dark brown skirt. I put my hair up in a ponytail and then put on my half apron. I then left my room and got started on my work. 7:30 rolled around and I head to the kitchen. After everyone was severed, I severed myself and went to sit with Christine and Meg. "Good morning, girls," I said and sat down. "Good morning, Maria," Meg said. "Morning, Maria," Christine said while looking at her food. "By the way, those brownies last night were amazing, Maria," Meg said with a smile. "Well, I am glad you liked them," I said smiling at Meg. Meg then continued to eat while reading the newspaper. I then looked over at Christine and started to eat. Meg and I had finished our food while Christine has barely touched her food. "Hey Meg. Can you take my plate and your plate to the kitchen, please?" I asked. "Sure," Meg said and got up. "Thank you," I said with a smile and handed her my plate. Meg grabbed my plate and then walked toward the kitchen. I then turned to Christine and said, "Okay, Christine. What's the matter?" "Huh?" Christine asked dazed. "I asked what's going on? You have barely touched your food. Are you feeling okay, Christine?" I asked worry laced in my voice and concern written in my eye. "It's noth-," Christine started, but I cut her off. "Don't give me that. I know it is not just nothing, Christine. You should know better by now that I can tell if something is wrong," I said and folded my arms. "You're right," she said and sighed. "So what is going on, Christine? You can tell me anything," I said and put my hand over her hand. "Can you keep a secret?" Christine asked.

I looked at her worried and said, "Yes. I can keep a secret, but if you are planning on ending your life, I am going to tell someone." Christine giggled and said, "I am not planning on ending my life. So relax, Maria." I closed my eye while sighed in relief. I then re-open them and said, "So, what is going on?" "Well..." she trailed off and looked away. "Well?" I question getting her attention back. "I was wondering what you were doing on your lunch break," she said looking back at me. "I was planning to go to the market today. It has been a little over a week since I been there and I was thinking about buying some flowers to for ballerina's room. Why?" I asked with my eyebrow raised. "I was just wondering. I was going to ask you if you wanted to watch us practice today, but you already have other plans," she said kind of sad. I just smiled at her and said, "You don't have to worry about that, Christine. I always watch you guys practice. Even if you guys don't see me at times." Christine looked at me bewildered as I just smiled at her. "Anyways, eat your breakfast. We can't have you practicing on an empty stomach now can we?" I asked. "No. We can't," she said and started eating. When Meg got back, Christine was almost done with her food. After she finished, they headed to practice as I head to the kitchen Christine's dirty plate in hand.

As I was cleaning Box 5, I notice that it didn't have any flowers like the other boxes had. So I figured I would buy some flowers for Box 5 too. Anyways, lunch was over for the performers and musicians and my lunch break started. I grabbed some bread and cheese from the kitchen and ate it on my way to my room. When I got to my room, I took off my half apron and put in on my desk chair. I then grabbed my money from it's secret hiding place and put some of it in my little coin bag. I put my money back it's secret place, grabbed my cloak and put it on. I then grabbed my coin bag and left my room. I walked to my secret place in the threader, sat down, and watched Christine and Meg practice. As I watched them practice, I was wondering why Christine wanted me to watch them today. 'Is she scared of something or someone? Or did she just want me to see how far they have come? I don't know. I will ask her later," I thought as I got up and left the box. I then walk out the front doors of the opera house and walked into the square.
