I pulled the car up into the parking space, making sure it was parallel with all the other vehicles. I locked the car several times making sure it was locked. I buzzed myself into the building and entered a lift to get to my apartment. Arriving at my door and shutting it quite briskly behind me I then eventually flopped down onto my sofa.

I live in an apartment/penthouse. I love it to pieces. It's the one place that is mine and that I can relax in and improvise with my music and dance around in. It's only a 2 bedroom but it's modern and it's like a small house with 2 floors and a bathroom on each floor. I never want to move out.

I lay on my sofa for several minutes thinking about life and what I am going to do next. I slowly walked into my kitchen and threw my keys lazily onto the counter top. The phone suddenly began to ring, it was a private number. I was totally confused as to who it could be but I answered it anyway.

"Hello?" I asked sounding quite nervous by this unexpected phone call.

"Hello there. I am Angela, Manager and Director of London Dance Academy. Is this Katie speaking?" said a woman with an extremely posh voice.

I sudden rush of adreneline spread throughout my body and I went numb.

"Oh uh, yes, yes this is Katie speaking. Can I help you?" I replied, trying to act casual, but failing.

"Well, we have recieved you're application and we can happily say that you have been accepted into the academy and we would like you to join us as soon as possible!" the female voice said excitedly but also in a professional manner.

"Yes, YES! I would be honoured to! Thankyou so much! When shall I arrive?" I said uncontrollably.

"We shall send you an email with what to do and what shall happen. It's you're responsibility to sort out what to do with you're accomodation that you are staying in at the moment if you live far away from London. We allow you to accomodate here in the academy or you can rent or buy a property here in London near the academy. It is you're choice." she said instructively.

"Thankyou, I shall arrange something as soon as possible and I look forward to seeing you!" I replied over excitedly.

"Likewise, thankyou Miss." she said and then the phone call ended.

Speedily, I dialled my Mum's mobile number.

"Hey Mum! You will never guess what?!" I shouted.

"Hey Honey, what's happened?!" she asked curiously.

"I have just been accepted into London Dance Academy and they want me to go there as soon as possible!" I screamed.

"Congratulations! I am so pleased for you honey! Me and your Dad will arrange some accomodation for you to stay in London for you and sort out you're flat!" she said sweetly.

"Okay, thanks Mum. Love you!" I said.

"Love you too! Stay safe!" she replied.

I moved out a few months ago because I was so eager to get my own space. Of course I miss my family and my younger sibling but I'm so determined to become a professional dancer my family support me and my choices.

I rang all my best friends that I had seen earlier that day about the news and they were delighted for me. Cheering excitedly down the phone to me. It was lovely for them to be supporting me and my decisions but I could also hear the disappointment that I am leaving my hometown to go out into the big wide world to persue my lifelong ambition. I reassured them that they weren't going to get rid of me that easily due to the amount of technology available nowadays, it's basically impossible. I was never going to be able to replace them. They are always going to be my best friends.

I lay in bed that night, struggling to believe what was happening and how my dreams were coming true. I can't wait until I arrive in London! I fell asleep, dreaming about London and the opportunities I am going to be able to experience.
