Tyler's POV
Why did she have to get sick today? I have so much to do, I thought to myself. Right after this interview I'll have to film and record a YouTube video to edit and upload by the end of the day. I arrive at her school, walking inside to the nurse's office.
"Hello! I'm here to pick up Lexi." I said cheerily, trying to hide my stress and how much of a rush I was really in.
"Of course, she's right back here. Lexi!" The nurse said. I saw her walk out, her backpack on her back. She seemed to be hanging her head low.
"Hey girl. Not feeling well?" I asked, leading her out the door.
"Yeah... I just need to rest for a while," Lexi said, "I mean... after this interview."
"Don't worry about it, it won't take too long hopefully." I said, reassuring her (and myself) that everything will be fine. We get to my car and she sits in the backseat. I pull out of the parking lot and start driving towards the radio station. "It's about 25 minutes away." After we arrive, I realize that I didn't tell the people there that I had to bring my daughter with me. That added another layer of stress for me. I decided to bring her and hope that they would let her in. "Come on out, you just can't make too much noise while we're in there. I know that won't be a problem for you though." We get there and there are people staged perfectly, kind of like a movie set. There is a desk with two mics, one of which is occupied by a man with a small beard and dark circles under his eyes. I have never met this man in real life, I've only talked to him on the phone. I walk in and Lexi trails in close to me.
"Who... is this?" A security guard asks, looking down at Lexi. She stands a bit closer to me.
"This is my daughter, Lexi. Is it okay if she just sits here? I promise that she won't be any trouble," I say, looking down at her. She looks a bit uncomfortable.
"Uh... sure. There's a chair right over there," the guard says, motioning to a small wooden chair next to the interviewing set. Lexi quickly walks over there and sits down. I walk to the chair on the set, sitting down and meeting eyes with the main in the other chair.
"Hello! You must be Mr. Oakley." He says with a bit of a jersey accent, shaking my hand.
"Yes. You must be Mr. Randin." I say, putting a fake smile on my face.
"We'll be live in about 2 minutes. Do you have everything you need?
"Yep," I say, looking back at Lexi one last time. "I'm ready."
Sorry for the short chapter but at least I'm recommitting myself to this story. I won't be able to upload again until Sunday because my family is going on a trip and I'm not bringing my laptop with me. Thanks for reading!

Adopted By Tyler Oakley [DISCONTINUED]
FanfictionHe was okay at first. Then he forgot about me, so I demanded he take me back to the orphanage. I no longer called him Dad, he didn't deserve to be called Dad, not after how he treated me. Sometimes I wish I was never adopted by Tyler Oakley.
