Pieter's school day started. Being a 11th grader wasn't that complicated. It was just a everyday life for him and for all students.
Ding dong, ding dong!
That was the bell for first class. Pieter's class's first subject was Language Arts, which started at nine.
The teacher, Mr. Foxx, came in. "Good morning, class." He said as he stood in front of the class.
Language arts was boring for Pieter. He didn't like any of the subjects but lunch. He wasn't talented or neither was a model student. Everyday was a boring moment for him, and he thought life sucked. But it was different when he spent time with Breta. It wasn't boring at all. Time went fast when he talked about different stories. Time went fast when he looked at Breta laugh about his stories. Time went fast from the moment he saw her till the moment they say goodbye.
Hours passed after having Language Arts and Math. It was 10 minutes before lunch, and every minute the clock ticked, students's eyes sparkled and sparkled. Lunch was probably everyone's favourite subject.
When it turned 12, everyone rushed out the door. The cafeteria line was long, Pieter had to wait 10 minutes in line to get his lunch.
After he got his lunch, he walked over to the table where his friends were sitting.
"Hey, bro." They had a short greeting and started eating.
"Pieter Bryne!" A sharp but cute voice of a girl rang in Pieter's ears.
"Oh hey, Elizabeth." Pieter said as he turned around.
The girl's name was Elizabeth. Elizabeth Marin. Her hair was supposed to be blonde but she dyed it blood red. It seemed like red fitted her more than yellow. Her eye tips were pointing upwards which made her look like a mean girl. She had a small dot right under her eyes which made her more attractive. Her slender body seemed to match the school uniform she was wearing, not to tight but not too lose.
"What are you doing here?" One of Pieter's friends, Brian asked.
"Hehe." Naturally Elizabeth placed her lunchbox on the seat next to Pieter.
"Go sit with your friends." Luke asked, who was another one who sat next to Pieter.
"I'm gonna sit with Pieter!"
"Go away, Elizabeth. No one likes you." Brian acted mean.
"Hey!" Elizabeth then hugged Pieter's arms. "Pieter, they're being mean to me!!"
"I'm not your boyfriend." Pieter said.
"Come on! What's wrong with me holding onto your arms?"
"He just told you the reason." Luke said.
"Ugh." After sighing, Elizabeth placed her lunchbox on the seat next to Pieter with a loud thump. She sat down and started eating.
"Lizzy!" Elizabeth heard her best friend Catherine calling her. "Come sit with me!"
"Coming!" Elizabeth changed her mind so quickly. Then she called "Bye bye, Pieter!"
"Yeah... bye." Then Pieter saw Elizabeth run off to Catherine.
"Hey, why don't you accept her." Luke asked Pieter.
"What do you mean?"
"She likes you. Isn't that so obvious?" Brian asked this time.
"Oh, no. We're just friends."
"If you say that, fine then. I ship you guys anyways."
A few hours passed after lunch. It was 8 o'clock at night, and it was time for after school evening selfstudy that lasted till 10 thirty. Since not a lot of kids stayed till night, the school put self studying students in one classroom. There were about 24 of them, and one of them was Elizabeth and another one was Pieter.
"Pieter~!!" Elizabeth called. Then she dragged the chair open and sat on it. The table she sat on was the very right table of Pieter's.
"Hey, Elizabeth."
"Why are you studying till night?"
"As you know. I'm the only one to take care of my sister. I have to study well to enter a good college and to be awarded by scholarship."
"Hmm..."
"I have to take care of her. But it's just that she's little un-normal... like how we used to be when we were kids like her."
"...I can."
