2 months later .
Mara-
My mom has been MIA for almost a month now . All we have is macaroni to eat . Her or my sister won't answer they phones . I been crying cause will and Nicole are hungry and don't wanna eat no more damn macaroni . I don't know what to do .
I hate calling my tia for anything or telling them stuff cause all they do is talk shit . I asked them if they wanted to go spend the weekend with her and our cousins . They said yes real fast . So I called her and asked . She will be here at 2 to get them . That was a big relief cause she cooks every 2 hours I swear and they like playing with my cousins.
I told Nicole and will and they started to pack their bags . While I finished other laundry and cleaning . By the time I finished my tia was here to get them . She asked me why I ain't coming. I lied and said I'm gonna stay at shavons house . They left and I went to take a much needed nap and medicine for my headache .
Before I could close my eyes someone was banging at the door . I prayed it was my mom cause damnit idk what to do any more .
" X what a surprise what the hell you want " I said with attitude. It's been 2 full weeks since I seen or heard from him .
" sorry I was going thru some things . &I had to lay low for awhile . " he said letting himself in .
" cool hope things G with ya . But Ashlee ain't here so " I pointed to the door .
" you really gone tell me to leave . " he stepped closer to me like his charm was gonna change something.
" uh yea sister ain't here . So why you still here for ? " I asked .
" you know I ain't come for your sister " he tried to kiss me and stopped him .
" nahuhh. Look I'm busy so you really can just go now . " I said walking away .
" you wanna know the real reason I been gone . " he said
" not really " I sat back on the couch and flipped thru the channels .
" we been kinda fighting and shit so I thought it would be good to have some time away from each other . " he said sitting in my moms computer chair . I kept searching thru the channels . " so you gonna be mad " he asked . I still ignored him . " where ya mom ? " he asked . " idk if you find her let me know " I snapped back .
" wtf you mean ?? " he got in front of the tv . " she ain't been here helping you " he added .
" what it look like man ? . Had to send them to my aunts just to eat. Fuck her and fuck my sister . " I shouted .
How long she been gone
He tried to hug me . " I don't need your fucking sympathy ." I pushed him away . And went to my room to go to sleep .
1 hour later ...
I woke up and felt arms around me . I turned to see x sound asleep . I sighed .
Just then my phone rang it was my aunt .
" why didn't you tell me your mom left y'all there with nothing to eat ??"
" didn't wanna bother you " I said
" mamma y'all don't bother me I love y'all . And here to help when you need it ." She said in a cracked voice
" Thanks tia "
" if y'all are ever hungry don't hesitate to call me Mara . I don't care what time it is just call me and I will make a way . Ima keep them here till I find your mom okay . " she said
" alright I'll be a shavons " I said
" you don't wanna come over here " she asked
" honestly no " I said
" okay well you call me if you hear from your mom or if you need anything . Ok . I love you . " she said
" love you too " I hung up . And went back to sleep .
2 days later my mom showed up . Looking dead as hell . Could tell she has been on that shit . I ignored her the first few hours .
Till she came in my room . I can tell she had been crying .
" who you been talking to ?? And where is will and Nicole ? " she yelled at me .
" why you care now ! " I yelled back . Causing her to start hitting me .
" you dumb ass little girl you got fucking CPS called on me ! You little who're ." She screamed .
" you did this to your damn self . Always choosing niggas and drugs over us fuck you ! " I screamed and left out the house .
" get your ass back here and clean this house before they come ! " she demanded like I was fenna turn around n be like yes mama. I called x asking if he could come get me . 20 minutes later he finally pulled up and I ran and jumped in .

I could tell something was wrong with her . Cheeks and eyes were blood shot red . Hurt my heart to see her like this .
I wasn't even gonna ask . I'd figure she tell me when she is ready . For now Ima bump this music and drive .
My phone went off and it was her mom . Asking if I had any work that she would pay me when she can . I put my phone down and shook my head . She need to get it together before she loose these kids .
I pull up to my grandparents house . She was looking round like wth .
I chuckled " it's my grandpas place " I said . Waiting for her to get out so I can lock the door . Then she followed me inside . Took her to my room and told her she could lay down or watever while I take a quick shower . " alright thanks x " she smiled at me .
I'm bout to get in the shower when her moms text me again. " if you really love my daughter you will just give it to me . And I'll let you be with her . " I read .
I was gonna reply but decided not to .
The two weeks I was gone I was really out partying with some friends and her mom I do it sometimes but she bad on it . Before we got high I had confessed my love for Mara to her . At first she kinda got mad then she said " don't hurt her . That's all I ask " that's made me so happy we all started drinking and turning up . And we'll mistakes was made in the back seat that night .
And since then I been fucking up . I fucked her moms . I feel guilty asf . Like shitty . I really do got love for Mara but I know when she finds out I fucked her mom and sister . She ain't even gonna wanna look at me .
I was getting out the shower and decided not to get dressed but to wrap my towel . I walked to my room and to the bed I was just about to wake her up and try to hit but the way she was looking laying there sleep, hurt me cause she is so hurt by them and finding the other stuff out will crush her . She don't deserve this shit .
She too beautiful to be played and treated the way everyone treats her .
I feel so bad . I will try my best that she never finds out .

" can you take me home . I'm not feeling good at all " i ask him rubbing my head .
" I got you . You want some medicine ?" He ask .

The drive to my house was quiet besides the music .
" you okay " he ask rubbing my thigh .
" yea Ima be alright just need some sleep " I reply .
He leans over and kisses my hand then my forehead . I give him a smile . Then lay my head on the window and close my eyes
I think I'm liking him . But not sure yet .
