The very next day, Mark woke up with a heavy heart, knowing he still hasn't apologized to Jackson.

Mark laid on his bed, motionless, still thinking about what he hasn't done. For some odd reason, Mark felt nervous for today. But, Mark knows he can't lay on his bed forever in his own self-misery, so he got up and got ready for school.

"HEY MARK!" Jinyoung yelled in Mark's face.

Mark glared at me and touched his ear.

"Oh my god, I think I have gone deaf."

"Are you sure?" Jinyoung asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure," Mark responded.

Jinyoung looked at Mark mockingly.

Mark realized what he did and groaned.

"Shut up," Mark told him.

"NEVERRRR!" Jinyoung yelled at his face once again.

Suddenly, Mark notices that Jaebum wasn't stuck to Jinyoung's side for once.

"Where's Jb?" Mark asks.

Jinyoung's face brightened up. "Oh! He's giving a new student a tour around the school since he's the class president."

"Ahh ok," Mark said, while nodding.

He was wondering who the new student was.

"Do you know the name of the student?" He questioned Jinyoung.

"Starts with a J, I'm pretty sure." Jinyoung's voice wandered off.

All of a sudden, like a cartoon having a light bulb over their head, Jinyoung snapped his fingers.

"I got it! His name is Jae." Jinyoung told him.

"Oh that's cool, maybe he can be a part of our group," Mark replied. Mark didn't know why, but his heart fell to the bottom of his stomach, like he was expecting a different name.

RINNG

The bell rang, signaling the start of school.

"Come on, let's go to first period," Jinyoung grabbed Mark's hand and dragged him to their first period class, which was English.

"Do you think Jaebum is going to be in class on time today?" Mark asked.

"No, I'm pretty sure he's just going to be a few minutes late, but that's ok. The new kid is in our class anyways so he can use him as an excuse."

They arrived at their class and walked over to their seats. Jinyoung was closer to the front, while Mark was a few seats away from him, closer to the middle.

The second bell rang, signaling the start of school.

"Good morning class," Mark's teacher greeted.

"Good morning," some students say.

"In today's lesson, we will be learning-," the teacher was cut off by a knock on the door.

Mark ignored it and started doodling on his notebook.

Mark frowned. He already knew that it was going to be Jaebum and the new student, Jae.

"Hey Mr. Duff, this our new student," he heard Jaebum say.

"Welcome!" Mr. Duff exclaimed. "Please introduce yourself."

Mark could feel a heavy gaze on him, but he just ignored it.

He could hear the new student clearing their throat before speaking up.

"My name is Jackson Wang, and I just moved from Hong Kong."

Mark's head quickly snapped up, and his eyes widened. He locked gazes with Jackson who was staring directly at him.

His name is Jae, my ass! Mark thought. He mentally groaned in his mind. He couldn't believe Jackson, the Jackson who he still haven't apologized to, was the new student.

Mark noticed the girls, and some boys, looking at Jackson with dreamy eyes.

"He's so hot," Mark caught a girl sitting next to him, tell her friend.

Mark looked to his left and noticed an empty seat.

Please don't let him sit next to m-

"Well Jackson, I see that there's an empty seat next to Mark, so please sit there. Mark raise your hand."

Mark could feel all his classmates' eyes on him. He slowly raised his hand, even though he knew Jackson knew who he was.

Jackson took his time on walking towards his seat, still looking at Mark.

Jackson sat down and tried to talk to Mark, but noticed Mark was tensed up and looking straight ahead.

Things just got real awkward, Mark thought.
