Question 40 ~ Is Chara Evil?

Are they evil? Nope.

In the beginning of the game they awoke from the presence of your soul and determination. It is true that they're not a good person, but they weren't a sadistic monster (not yet at least). Sure, they laughed it off when Asgore got sick from the flowers, but it was also said that Chara brought hope to the Underground.
     When they died, Asriel absorbed their soul, and they learned how to control a body. They carried themselves to the human world and wanted to use their full power. As we all know, Asriel resisted them and they were both killed. Giving Asriel a negative view of the world blah blah blah...
I wish I knew why Chara hates humanity so much because there isn't a said reason...
     What I'm slightly confused about is why Flowey wanted to kill everything when his negative view of the world was created by his death from the humans. Then he wants to free them and show then what humanity is truly like...? Whut? Make up your mind Azzy I don't got all day.
     In the genocide route, Chara takes control of your body (Not the entire time of course, but there are moments where they're in control). Making you unable to follow directions, making you move without even touching the controls... but, this is after you've killed everyone in the Ruins. While you're murdering everything in the Ruins, Chara only controls how you view things, changing what it would've said in pacifist.

Areas where Chara took control
- When you refused to hide behind the lamp
- When you never did Papyrus's puzzles
- When you walk up to Papyrus before your fight begins
- Walking up to Sans in Judgement Hall
- Killing Sans (You only attempted to kill Sans. When you finally move the box over to the fight button and he dodges it, Chara takes over and does the final blow)
- Killing Asgore and Flowey
-  I forgot the others...

     In the genocide there route, when Chara sees you killing, they believe that they awoke from power itself, and they were the feeling you receive when your stats increased. This sort of proves that when they saw you continuously murder the monsters, you influenced them to think that killing is the only option. Probably why they wanted to move on to the next world and destroy it as well.
     During the option to destroy the world, you can pick "ERASE" or "DO NOT" if you pick erase Chara says you're a good partner and also says that "we'll be together forever".... creep.
     Choosing do not causes them to say that you were never in control and they approach the screen laughing like a homicidal maniac. (Not really, it's just super creepy...)
Then an attack is preformed, nines cover your entire screen, hinting that Chara 'killed' you, and the game closes. You can renter but the world has already been erased.
And then the chat sequence for going back to the regular games world in exchange for your soul... blah blah...

IN CONCLUSION
Yes, they're a very malevolent 'human', but she never had ill intentions for monsters, (they did for humans though) it was as if they never truly cared for anything. Upon entering the genocide route, they're led to believe that they're only purpose is to erase, but it all rushes to their head and they think that they're the one in control. Turning them into a flipping demon sadist with a taste for blood and dust. Kinda like Flowey.

I mean when you put it that way it does sound like Chara is evil af but they're like super merciless and stuff... idk don't ask me I just used facts from the game to make an educated guess alright. When I look over it they seem pretty evil to me, but I know they're not. In other words, don't blame Chara, blame yourself for what you turned her into.
