Jessie slams her hand against the counter. "Guys, this isn't going to cut."
Jack sighed and dropped his drum sticks on his set. "Then what's going to cut it, Jessica?"
"Jessie." Jessie corrected. "And what's going to cut it is perfection and we my gentleman, don't have that." Jessie pulls out her lyric journal and flips to a song. "Perfect song, we'll rehearse 'getaway'."
Andre begins to put his guitar in it's case. Jack stifles a laugh. "Dude she's not gonna let you escape."
Jessie peeks over her lyric journal. "Andre? What are you doing?" Jessie places her lyric journal on the counter. "We're not done practicing."
"Practice, practice.practice. That's all we've been doing." Andre argues. "My girlfriend's been waiting for me at the beach for an hour and Telisha's not good with waiting, trust me."
Jack picks up his jacket and swings it over his shoudler. "He's right. It's the last day of summer and I'm not going to be busting my ass all night in here, while the girls are spending their last day in bikini's at Kinsley Beach." Jack grabs his drum sticks from his set and places them in his back pocket. "I think we deserve a break."
"C'mon Alex." Andre says as he head out of the door.
"Fine then," Jessie wraps her arms around her chest. "Slaggers!" she yells out.
Jack laughs and winks at Jessie before he steps out of the door.
"Sorry, Jessie. But we've been practicing since ten." Alex says before he exits behind Jack.
Jessie places her hand behind her neck. "It's fine."
When Alex steps out Jack comes swinging back through the door.
"What do you want?" Jessie says in aggravation as she walks over to unplug the equipment.
"Do you want to come along?" Jack says with that ridiculous sideway smirk he has.
Jessie picks up her journal from the counter. "Why would I?"
"C'mon Jes, it's summer. The last day before homework and terrible teachers come in. Enjoy it."
"I can't go."
"Why not?"
"Music is why not Jack. My music is the only thing I care about right now. I can;t jepordize it right now. It's all I have and unlike you guys, I take it seriously."
Jack walks over to Jessie. "We all take it seriously. Music is our life too you know. We're just not as dedicated as you. Your strong and confident. You are what make The Piglets-The Piglets."
Jessie laughs. Hearing someone besides her bestfriends say the band name made it sound funny.
"Ok, so maybe I'm not as dedicated to band names." She admitted.
"Maybe not," Jack laughs softly. "But dedicated enough, strong enough, and awesome enough."
"Really?" Jessie was shocked to hear those words come out of Jack's mouth. In fact, she was even suprised he invited her to go out to the beach with him.
"Of course. Otherwise I wouldn't be waisting my time lieing."
Jesse chuckles. "Sure."
"Seriously, Jessica." Jack suddenly has a serious look on his face.
Out of everyone else Jessie knew , Jack was the only one who called her Jessica and as much as she hated the name, she liked it when he said it.
Jack leaned over. "Your one of the most amazing girls I know." Those words brightened Jessie's day.
