The flow of tears suddenly stopped as they began to chuckle, breaking into a roar of laughter. They were so unfamiliar with these feelings. Hating and loving these thoughts in unison.
Regardless of their shattered understanding of their emotions, they knew that what they felt for each other was special. They were unsure as to what it was called but Ruby knew that Sapphire's existence made her happy. Sapphire could gladly claim the exact same. They were so clueless as to how to label or even process these feelings.
This fluidity in thoughts and feelings was beyond confusing, out of instinct they began to hold each other and move.
"What are we doing?", Ruby chuckled.
"I don't really know...but I feel like it's called something.", Sapphire replied.
Ruby took sapphire by the hand and spun her around, pulling her back towards her. They were now looking into each others eyes, chest to chest. Sapphire's head was tilted back, her bangs flipped as she saw the world. For a split second, she was admiring the stars in the sky that could be seen by peaking through the leaves and blossoms of a an old tree. She was then pulled close again, for the briefest moment she was greeted by Ruby's smile.
Her body began to shift in a manner it had never done before, she felt as if she were floating for a second and stepped into a welcoming warmth. She almost felt as if she had disappeared.
Ruby, on the other hand, felt bigger and stronger...yet calmer. They looked around, admiring the world once again in confusion. They looked at the moons, feeling the instinct to reach for them. They stretched out their hand.
"Wait, what?", they said. Analyzing their arms and hands.
"What? What has happened?", further confused by their voice.
"I...you...we? can't stand up...", Garnet said as she attempted, falling consistently. Unsteadily, she crawled toward the calm body of water in a clumsy, awkward manner.
"What is this!?", she demanded. Looking down at her reflection to see an kaleidoscopic, three eyed beauty starring back at her.
In a state of shock, her arms gave out and she fell into the water. She rose again. From the water, she sat on her knees to look down once more at the rippling water. Her reflection gradually emerged, the moonlight allowed her to see herself for the first time. She gawked in shock at the pink and blue figure starring back at her with water dripping from her face.
"Who is this beautiful person!?", she demanded aloud.
