"Nino..." Adrien began approaching his best friend. "I couldn't tell you because that would put myself and you in danger. Hawkmoth could have gone after you, and I don't know if I could live with myself if he did..." Nino huffed and turned away from him. He couldn't even look him in the face. Marinette decided to help the explanation,
"Nino its true. He always wanted to tell you, he really did, but he couldn't and-" Adrien put a finger to her lips, shutting her up.
"And- he's very sorry about it." Adrien said giving it his all to not tear up. His best friend hated him, and it sucked.
"Whatever dude. As long as I know now I guess. " Nino said earning a "bro" hug from Adrien. Alya looked at Adrien and gasped realization consuming her,
"Wait a minute, Chat Noir and Ladybug...." Alya's eyes grew wide. "CHEATER!" Adrien chuckled to himself lightly and Alya's eyes grew wider.
"Agreste, this is no laughing matter! YOU..." she lowered her voice, not wanting to draw the kids downstairs. "You-cheated on Mari! All this time!" Adrien grew defensive now.
"How Alya? Please do inform me how I was cheating on Mari?" His eyes were stern and anger was laced within his voice.
"You and Ladybug. That's how. The entire situation is cheating." She stated matter o fact'Ly. Adrien's eyes burned with anger. He would never cheat on Marinette.
"Well, Alya." He scoffed her name out, "I will let you know that it is not cheating if the person you are supposedly 'cheating' on is the sa-" marinette shushed him.
"Kitty, enough." She stated and removed her finger from his lips.
"How are you so cool with this dudette?" Nino asked, making himself present once more.
"Purrrincess?" Adrien asked giving marinette a smirk.
"What Adrien." She scoffed at him.
"How about you tell them?" He said once more, he was clearly letting his Chat come through. "It would probably take the stress out of the hisss-tuation." Marinette face palmed and shook her head.
"As much as I hate your puns, I guess you are right..." she paused for a moment, waiting for hell to brake loose. "Chatton." Nino's eyes grew wide, but alya's grew wider.
"L-l-Ladybug?" She questioned and Marinette nodded. Alya looked as though she could faint. Nino had walked in and out of the room several times by now, not knowing what to do with his body.
"You can't tell anyone!" Marinette said rather loudly. She heard a little gasp and paused. That's when she glanced over her shoulder and saw something terrible. Emma. "Emma!?!?" She asked and began to tear up. Adrien saw her and went crazy.
"Emma when adults talk you stay upstairs, don't you understand this?!? You are way too irresponsible to know any of this!" He kept his voice stern the entire time. Emma slowly left her hiding place and began to tear up.
"I'm sorry dad, or should I say CHAT NOIR!" She screamed at him, the tears now flowing down her face. Marinette comforted her daughter, but was still upset about the situation herself.
"How much did you hear?" Adrien asked pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Everything. Every. Single. Word." Her eyes were red and puffy, for the tears stopped coming. Tikki and plagg made themselves visible and looked Emma up and down. Emma cowered behind her mother.
"W-what is that?!?" She asked pointing at the creatures before her.
"I'm tikki," she gestured to herself flying closer to Emma "and this is Plagg!" Emma slowly backed out from behind her mother. "Plagg would you like to tell her why we are overly excited about this conversation?!?" Tikki asked rather excitedly. Adrien and Marinette cocked their heads to the side.
"This isn't good tikki!" Marinette exclaimed. Tikki gestured to plagg to explain.
"This is actually a good thing, LB," Plagg began. "We have a daughter, tikki and I, She's old enough to be a kwami now and...well We need Emma's help to find a person worthy enough to be a miraculous holder." Adrien sighed in relief. He thought his daughter was about to become a miraculous holder herself.
"I guess we have to accept this..." Adrien and Marinette said in unison. What the two didn't know was that Tikki and Plagg were planning something bigger, something the two heroes would never approve of.
