7 years ago, London was lost to Null Sector.

Lieutenant Wilhelms strike force couldn't keep Null Sector out of London for very long, due to the shear number of soldiers they had. Even after deactivating an anti-aircraft artillery, we could barely get them out of the city.

Reinhardt was critically injured from trying to shield Angela, Torbjörn, and Lena from the omnics, but his shield couldn't hold out forever.

"Commander! We cannot continue!" Reinhardt grunted into his com device. "We must get out of here, or we will all die!"

I could hear Angela trying to revive Lena, and Torbjörn trying to rebuild one of his turrets, but neither of them could focus.

"Can you atleast deactivate one artillery gun? Otherwise we have no chance of landing and rescuing you." I asked urgently.

"We will try, commander." Reinhardt responded. "Torbjörn? Can you hold out long enough to deactivate the artillery gun? It's our best chance."

"Already on it, Lieutenant!" I heard in the background.

"Angela! We can revive Lena when you all get back to the base! You need to help Torbjörn!" I ordered.

"Go Angela. I'll be fine." I heard Lena say weakly. Her words quickly turned into a fit of coughing, and I could only imagine the scene.

"Do you want us to go in, Jack?" Reyes asked from behind me, and I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"If they didn't have any luck, then you won't either." I replied, turning off my microphone.

"Well we're a lot better than them. Besides, they have a rookie and a repairman in their strike force." Reyes laughed. "The only reasonable people they have is Reinhardt and Angela. And they aren't very helpful either."

"Reyes! You are suspended from your duties! You got us into this mess in the first place!" Ana growled as she entered the command room.

"Thank you Captain, could you please order a dropship into Kings Row, to collect out strike force?" I asked. "Lena is critically injured, and the lieutenant can't hold out much longer. Torbjörn is trying to-"

"Commander! The artillery gun is down! Please hurry!" Reinhardt reported, interrupting me. I whirled around back to my monitor, watching the scene.

"Torbjörn has taken out an artillery gun, but they won't be able to deactivate the other 2." I relayed to Ana. "How's that dropship going?"

"It will land near that factory in a few minutes. Can they hold out that long?" Ana responded, typing furiously at her own computer.

"Lieutenant?" I asked, switching on my microphone. "Can you hold out for a few more minutes?"

"We will try, commander." He responded. "If I do not make it home, it was a pleasure to work with you."

"We'll get you out. You have nothing to worry about." I responded. "Can you all try to make it to the factory? That's as close as we can get to your position."

"Yes, sir." Reinhardt said. He then shouted, "Angela! Torbjörn! Grab Lena, and follow me!"

I heard a quick beep, as someone entered a private communication line with me.

"Commander? I don't think I am going to make it." Lena said, the pain obvious in her voice. "I'm sorry that I failed on my first mission."

"You haven't failed, Lena. And you will survive. Everyone knows that Overwatch has some of the best doctors in the world." I responded.

She laughed lightly, then the line was cut by another incoming communication.

"Lena is not looking good. Angela is trying her best to keep her awake until the ship gets here." Torbjörn reported. His line went silent for a moment. "Your words are hollow, aren't they Jack? You don't know if you can get us out of here, do you?"

"To be honest, I'm not sure about a lot of things. But I'm trying my best." I replied, my regret clear in my voice. Ana told me that the dropship was landing. I then said to the team,"We're trying our best. The dropship is landing now."

"We'll be shot down before we can get out of Kings Row. We both know that. It's a miracle that the ship even managed to land." The Reinhardt said sadly, on a private line with me. "It's was a pleasure working with you, Jack, but I have to save my team."

"What the hell are you doing?! Reinhardt stay with your team!" I shouted over the line.

"I'm taking down another artillery gun. It is worth risking my life to save those of my team!" He snarled.

"Ana! Get me a visual on the lieutenant!" I ordered. As soon it was pulled up, I saw him running down the street, Angela looking after him helplessly.

"Commander? What's happening?" I heard Lena ask weakly.

"The lieutenant is getting you out of London, Lena."

I heard Lena gasp, and then a cry from Angela.

"Lena! Please calm down!" She cried.

"Emily!" Lena gasped. "Where's Emily?!"

I quickly muted my microphone. "Who the hell is Emily?"

"She's Lenas girlfriend." Ana replied. "I assume she also lives in London."

"Please just save Emily!" Lena pleaded as I turned back to my monitor. I could see Torbjörn trying to hold her down.

"Lena! Calm down!" I ordered, unmuting my microphone. "We'll try our best to get Emily out."

"Please, commander! Just save her!" Lena said weakly, slowly fading out of consciousness as Angela manages to inject a sedative into her.

"We'll try, Lena. We'll try."
