-Grayson's P.O.V-
I looked around, sighing. Stupid forest... I slashed at vines and nearly dead tree limbs. We were nearly there. Maia seemed fully rested but I had stayed up a bit more that I expected.
I rubbed my tired eyes, blinking a few times to wake myself up. I looked down at my compass and continued to walk.
I just had to get there before something horrible happens..
His sickness had been getting worse with every passing day.. Progress being made almost everyday... I can't even explain how worried I was about him. I know he's strong. I know he can handle himself but if anything bad happened to probably my closest friend, I have no idea what i'd do.
Maia was following close behind, looking around. She was humming something that seemed random. I looked back at her, glad to at least of had found her. I turned back to face the thick forest in front of me. Vegetation for as far as the eye could see from here.
Though, in the background, the mountain Drake resided on was also in plain sight, the bright, but deep blue ocean surrounding it but left a walkway, letting you be able to cross the small part of the body of water.
I sighed softly, extremely worried.
The seconds turned into minutes, the minutes into agonizing hours.
The rustle of bushes and the crunching of dead leaves got my attention, bringing me out from my thinking state. I instinctively withdrew my sword, knowing Maia did the same. I overheard a voice, it sounding feminine from what I could tell...
A girl, around 17 with long, wavy dirty blonde hair that had blue tips at the ends. I relaxed a bit, but stayed tense. From here, I could easily tell she had a twitching disorder from the sharp and small movements of her hands. She faced us and jumped, supposedly not knowing we were here.
-Torcer's P.O.V-
I looked at the other two people near me. I panicked on the inside, unsure if they were an enemy I should worry about. Though, they seemed just about as surprised as me.
"Who are you??" The blonde male questioned strongly, his emerald eyes not leaving me, most likely not trusting me at all.
"Torcer... My name is Torcer, or Tor for short..." I mumbled shyly, but it was enough for them to be able to hear me. The elvin girl spoke up. "I'm Maia and this is Grayson." She introduced. I relaxed at this, sighing. Grayson looked anxious but still pretty intimidating.
"Maia. We don't have time. We need to hurry up and find Drake!" He groaned. Maia just sighed then froze at the sound again of rustling bushes and leaves. She withdrew her own sword.
-3rd Person P.O.V-
The three looked around anxiously as raiders slowly surrounded them completely.
There had to be at least 5 or 6 raiders. "D*mn it..." The ex-mercenary growled to himself, his gaze darting to each of the enemies. Torcer had a pastel blue light flowing down her arms, shaking a bit but felt ready to fight. Everyone had a staring contest with their opponent, trying to see who'd attack first.
Suddenly, the elven girl struck one of the raiders with an arrow from her bow before charging at one with her sword. Grayson sighed and attacked quickly, instantly going into a blade lock. He narrowed his eyes, using most of his force to push back the raider which seem more experienced than the others.
Torcer instinctively shot a pale blue ball of plasma towards two other raiders, looking around. She grabbed her iron sword and teleported behind one of the two she had attacked, lodging her stained sword through the male's back.
