----------Lunch---------
I went to my usual spot in the back of the cafeteria, the sixth grade table. Walked over to my friends to find my spot taken by Alyssa. Aggravated, I politely asked my friends if I can join them they didn't even look up from there lunch. Annoyed I left and sat alone quietly while I ate my sandwich. I read my English poem, "The Raven" as I had abruptly annoying laughter coming from the back table. I glanced up and saw Gabby toss goldfish into Alyssa's mouth. Classic welcome to the group ceremony. There laughter died down as they all at the same time glanced over to me. I quickly returned to my poem and ate in silence.

They got up and moved avoiding eye contact with me. I sat criss cross applesauce on the warm grass with the sun warming my back. I wanted to go home. I wanted to go crawl up in a ball on my nice warm bed. From this point on I knew. Middle school was going to be a lot different then I thought.
