//Continuation of Blackwatch Genji

"Welcome back, (Name)." Athena's voice greeted you when you landed safely at the roof. Her synthetic voice had emotions deep within her mainframe. "I trust the mission went well." Always the worrywort.

You took out your googles, so that you could rubbed your eyes. "I've sent my reports to the Commanders." It was itching for a scratch and you had to do it. The headphones were pulled down. It was snuggling around your neck, your hair was a messed. You let it be free by pulling the hair band from its ponytail position.

"Do I have any meeting after this?" You had placed your equipment back into the form of a backpack. Your jumpsuit were put away and tucked away into the backpack, revealing your outfit. A simple black turtleneck top, light grey pants and a basketball cap that had a symbol of the Eagle.

"No, Commander Morrison advised you to take a rest. Only a day." She said when you straighten your shirt.

You nodded your head. "Thank you, Athena. I'll be testing the new gadgets with Winston in his lab. Inform him my arrival." The backpack had slung over your shoulder as you did a quick stretch to your arms.

"Very well."

You soon make your way downstairs, following its path that had made for you. Each step left a sound, alerting anyone to know that you had return.

The Eagle had returned back to its nest, just for a short rest before presuming flight back into the sky. Its wings were ruffled but the Eagle had cleaned it by using its beak to arrange the feathers.

Genji was still in training. He was trying his best to get used to it. The modifications, the electronic components, wires and all. Some of the Agents, Scientists, are keeping tracks of his heart rate, blood pressure and brain activity. His mind was blank, for the moment.

The wings of the Sparrow need time to heal. It wanted to fly once more. Instead being grounded. It wants to join the Eagle that soar the skies, ruling like it was the Emperor of the Sky. The small bird was envy of it.

He had throw a few shurikens at the bullseye. His accuracy was sharp and precision. It didn't missed nor fall down. It hit the wood with brute force and speed. He returned to his posture, his back are straight and his aura that surrounded him was meant for peace. Some misread it as anger or menacing. Genji walked towards the targets and pulled out the shurikens. One by one, he returned them back to their place.

The sound of a buzz and the intercom came right after it. "Its lunch time. Meet Dr. Ziegler in her clinic before heading out to the garden."

Genji nodded his head. It was the same routine. Training, sometimes sparring, seeing Angela to check how his body holding up and went outside to enjoy nature. Then the cycle repeat. As for rest, he had his own bed to watch over him. The machine had stick unto his bed, seeing that Genji's body is a fusion of the latest technology and science. Don't forget biology too.

He waited for the door to released him. It took a few seconds when the door made a loud hissing sound and slide open, letting Genji out from the facility to the gardens. The sun was shining, the birds were conducting a song. A soothing one. He ignored the looks that the others gave him. He was accustomed to it when he got his new body.

"(Name)! How was the mission?" Lena's voice was heard from behind the door to Winston's laboratory. Genji had halted and was making some decisions whether to make a short trip or continuing his journey.

"Calm down, Lena. She just returned from a long flight," Winston's voice huffed. Genji could imagine the face that Winston could make. "She might be jet lag." Probably arching his eyebrows, eating peanut butter or just being his normal self.

"No, no, its fine." And there's the voice he missed for a few weeks. He let out a low and shaky sigh and turned around to continue to make way to check how his body doing. The Butterflies were hovering at the flowerbeds, collecting nector. The Monarch butterfly approached him and he extend his hand to let it land on top of his palm.

"I'm a clipped bird." He spoke to the butterfly who fluttered its wing, understanding him. Just maybe. Maybe.

"While she is a free one." He guided the butterfly back to its flower to let it gather more nectar.

His eyes were smiling at how the insects around him that were free and had their own duties. Same goes to the birds above. As for him, he returned to his own.

You laughed at the antics of Winston and Lena. They were a rowdy bunch, even though times right now are tough but still, they had fun along the way.  Lena wiped away a stray tear as her laughter slowly went away. Winston had went back eating peanut butter and Athena was telling some information to him.

"Well, thank you Winston for fixing my gear and thank you Lena for making me laughing. I really need that." Your backpack was laying on the table, the colour scheme had changed to follow the colours of the sky. The buckles were cleaned and the leather straps were replaced with a new one.

Lena tackled you in a hug. "Aww!" You were startled at the sudden contact but gave in and return the affection. A flash of light had made you to be surprised. You blinked your eyes multiple times to regain your sense of sight.

"Now that's a keeper," Winston smiled as he took the picture from the polaroid camera. He shake it a few times before giving it to you.

"Woah..." Lena gasped in awe of the photo. "That's a great shot. We better keep it for the album."

You shrugged,"I don't sure why not." You gave the photo to her as she blinked to her locker, placing it safely into her album.

"Anyways, thank you for helping me." You walked towards the table to get your backpack and slung it over your shoulders. The weight has changed. It was heavy and yet, it feel light. You adjusted the straps before making your way to the door.

"No problem, love!"

"Anything for a friend."

Both of them said it simultaneously. You let out another laugh, erupting the both of them to laugh with you. When the laughter died down, you make your way to the door. Waiting for it to open your way out.

Back to your roof.

And the Eagle had left the ground, flapping it wings to soar, to rule the sky.

The Sparrow just watched in awe. Its wing is broken but it still want to fly and join the Eagle. It want the wind to brush its feathers.

It want to be free.
