I
Moving without direction,
like pebbles on the dusty road
Thinking why do I have to feel
the burden of this awful load.II
Breaking forcefully,
like crashing waves on the rocky shore
Hoping that someday,
time will lift the loads that I bore.III
Pitch black like dark night
in the absence of the moon and the stars
I look around to catch a light
but all I see are scars,IV
From the hurtful nightmare
Of the cruel yesterday
But surely, time will come
the pain will fade just like they say.V
Before I knew, the sun has risen
for me to feel God's love
As I open my eyes, I saw
the bright light from up above.VI
I was elated, my heart felt the bliss
I am longing for
My soul felt like bursting
with the glory flowing from it's core.VII
Now I realized
life is not all failure and sorrow
And I know,
everyone will have a promising tomorrow,VIII
Just keep in mind,
God is always there to lend a hand
To guide His children
until we reach the Promise Land~~~

Ode to the Lost
PoetryNot a story but a collection of poems I wrote over the years. I started writing poems during my late teenage years. It served as my outlet to keep angst and anxiety at bay. Hope you'll find it therapeutic and worthy of your time.
