I
With just one snap,
Their gazes met and locked
A spell finds it's way
To their hearts and knockedII
Sending both of them
To a magic carpet ride
Comes the magical feeling
That they both could not hideIII
At that very brief moment
She knew that they were for each other
Caught in a wonderful bubble of love
Praying for their own foreverIV
He kept on staring
From her toes to her eyes so bright
As Cupid launched his bow
And hit his heart with arrow so lightV
He took the winding path
That will bring him to her presence
Marking the beginning
Of a link with great essenceVI
Now they stand face to face
Both unmoving and speechless
As they both close their eyes
Hoping for innocent kissesVII
But the foreseen kisses never came
And so they both open their eyes
All there was to see were shy faces
With wide grins both awkward and niceVIII
The lady thought she would swoon
At that moment due to shame
While he dropped his gaze below
As he too, endured the sameIX
Until great surge of courage burst in
And lifted his face with one solemn goal
He greeted her with a simple "hi"
Jovial to have met this lovely soul~~~

Ode to the Lost
PoetryNot a story but a collection of poems I wrote over the years. I started writing poems during my late teenage years. It served as my outlet to keep angst and anxiety at bay. Hope you'll find it therapeutic and worthy of your time.
