''Hello Scott!" Mr. Wilson's voice is resonating in the almost empty coffee shop. Scott seems relieved for a second but Mitch can see his shoulders tense back again almost immediately.

He can't stop looking at the panicked boy. It's like he's been absorbed by these deep oceans that everyone else would call eyes. His eyes. His eyes. Mitch is forgetting everything. How embarrassing the situation is. How red his cheeks must be right now. He can only think of how unique this boy's eyes are.

"Hey!" Mitch can feel his blood boil under his skin and the embarrassing aspect of the situation comes back to his mind violently when he realizes someone was looking at him the whole time, witnessing his daydream.

"Oh um, I'm sorry, can I help you?" He succeeds to reply to the small girl in front of him.

"I... I'd like to order for me and my friend." Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Of course she would like to order, he's supposed to be in charge of taking orders today. Mitch silently curses himself.

"Of course, I'm sorry. I'm listening to you." As he listens to her ordering he finds himself being more talented at multitasking than he thought. Maybe a part of him feels guilty for listening to a conversation but first, it's only a small one and secondly, he finds himself even more interested in the blond boy after catching a glimpse of Mr. Wilson's words.

"Scott, we've talked about it with Kevin last time. Remember?" Mr. Wilson's voice is strangely enough calm and his tone reassuring. Almost like a father comforting is son except here, the son is a grown-up man.

At this moment, Mitch thinks about how he would really appreciate a hug from his father right now but this will have to wait. For now, he decides on just planning a skype call with his parents as soon as he gets home.

"I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon. Kevin always takes our orders, that's how it works." Scott seems to calm down as Mr. Wilson's hand is rubbing his shoulder.

"Sometimes things change Scott. Mitch is the one who will take yours and Kirstin's order from now on. I can assure you he's a really nice guy." Mitch can feel himself blush even more – if it's even possible- and settles for a small wave towards the two men.

"It will be ready in about 10 minutes, I'll bring everything to your table." The brunette says to the girl he assumes is Kirstin.

"Great! Thank you so much and um...I'm sorry for what happened earlier. You did nothing wrong, he's just... used to Kevin." She says timidly and Mitch could probably hug her if there wasn't a counter between them. He refrains himself and just smile back to her shy one.

"Come on Scott, let's go find a sit. You can choose the table if you want." She says to Scott. These words let a grin appear on Scott's face and he immediately rushes to the third table right by the window. Kirstie is smiling too watching her best friend sitting at his usual spot.

"Thank you." She says, watching Mr. Wilson smiling for the same reason as hers.

"Oh, don't thank me dear, thank you for being there for him. Come on! He's waiting for you." The man replies sweetly.

Mitch is observing the scene and he can assure he's never seen his boss smile the way he is right now. He then looks at the blond sitting at the third table, too busy counting the number of crayons in the pot in front of him to notice Mitch staring at him.

DING

"Mitchell! Drinks are ready!" Avi's loud voice is forcing Mitch to take his eyes off the boy.

He takes one cup in each hand, breathes, and makes his way to the table.
